Rishad BaithudeenFormer Minister of Industry and Commerce, Government of Sri Lanka
Intex South Asia would denitely be a landmark event to promote, strengthen and signicantly develop the
export of apparel from Sri Lanka.
“
“
Sharad AmaleanPast Chairman of Joint Apparel Association Forum and Deputy Chairman of MAS Holdings, Sri Lanka
From the rst edition, we have supported Intex South Asia with a little bit of apprehension to its success and
implementation, but seeing the growth and potential over the years, today when I stand here, I would like to
use the words ‘Excellent’. Excellent in the progress they have made year-on-year. Today, the show would be
impressive in terms of participation and variety of quality textile products available at this regional sourcing
platform created in Sri Lanka.
“
“Melissa WongDirector, Taiwan Textile Federation, Taiwan
Before I came here, I didn’t expect so good as I see here. Also I learnt from Taiwan exhibitors and my
colleagues here that the show is very good and successful. We will continue to come to the show next year
as well. In terms of buyers, major garment factories, buying ofces, suppliers, brands, retailers are here and
talked to Taiwan exhibitors at the show. So I think this is a very productive fair for our exhibitors.
“
“
Sujata UchilDeputy Director, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), India
FIEO participated for the 1st time in Intex South Asia 2018 & it was a fruitful participation. As an apex body of
Indian export promotion organizations, set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, we were
happy to associate with Worldex India to organise an Indian Textiles Pavilion and promote 45 quality textile
suppliers at the largest textiles sourcing show of South Asia.
“
“
Juliana KangMarketing Manager, KOTRA Colombo, Sri Lanka
KOTRA Colombo has been participating @ Intex South Asia in Sri Lanka since 2016. Each year, we
organize a showcase pavilion to promote Korean textile companies in Sri Lanka. This year, we are
showcasing more than 25 companies which are more than last year. We generated good enquiries from
the buyers who visited our pavilion. Most of the buyers we found are quite interested in sourcing apparel
textiles from Korea.
“
“about Intex South Asia
What the
Industry Speaks
“Congratulations to Intex South Asia for their 5th edition in Sri Lanka.
The show is getting bigger and better every year and we see a lot of
value for both our sourcing teams and our international customers. The
fact that TEXPROCIL is also here has added new dimensions and it will
help us to integrate more closely with the Indian suppliers. We hope we
can grow our business by importing and exporting in India.”
Aroon HirdaramaniDirector, Hirdaramani Group, Sri Lanka
“We are an agent and trading company from
Thailand supplying bers, yarns and fabrics to
many countries such as Vietnam, India, UAE,
South America, Turkey etc. I visited to identify
new suppliers and see new product designs
showcased by suppliers.”
Surachai Wongprompreeda ASWAKOV, Thailand
“This was our rst visit to Intex South Asia and
Sri Lanka. We found many suppliers whom we
can work for sourcing textiles and apparel for
our retail chain stores in Italy. The show gave us
good insights about the South Asian market
and soon we shall start our sourcing from this
region.”
Carolina LiTwin-Set Simona Barbieri, Italy
We have thoroughly enjoyed the Intex South
Asia. Hospitality and service provided was very
good. We came and met many suppliers at the
fair, which was very useful for our fabric sourcing
and further new innovations. We also enjoyed
two seminars, Which were very useful and
informative.
Manigandan GunasekaranShahi Exports, India
I would like to thank Worldex India for organising Intex South Asia 2019
in Bangladesh. We request them to arrange this event every year as it’s
good for the industry as well as gives us opportunity to meet textile
suppliers for our sourcing requirements. I visited 10-12 booths from
India, Thailand and Indonesia from which we found different innovative
products which would be very useful for Bangladesh market and our
requirements.
Md Asad HossainNext Sourcing, Bangladesh
“My team has been visiting the show and this is my rst visit to Intex
South Asia. It has been a good experience and connecting with good
certied suppliers. The best part of Intex South Asia is showcasing of
products is quite professional and bringing suppliers from the South-
east community of suppliers and buyers at your door-step. This
platform also brings a kind of collaboration between suppliers and
buyers. I wish Intex South Asia grows to much bigger in the coming
years.”
Bhupinder SinghWildcraft, India
Mr. Golam Dastagir GaziHon’ble Minister of Textiles & Jute, Government of Bangladesh
“I would like to thank the organisers of Intex South Asia to invite me here. Thank you for arranging such a big
event, for promoting business & investment for textile sector in Bangladesh. I am also happy to know that the 2

implementation, but seeing the growth and potential over the years, today when I stand here, I would like to
use the words ‘Excellent’. Excellent in the progress they have made year-on-year. Today, the show would be
impressive in terms of participation and variety of quality textile products available at this regional sourcing
platform created in Sri Lanka.

Juliana KangMarketing Manager, KOTRA Colombo, Sri Lanka
KOTRA Colombo has been participating @ Intex South Asia in Sri Lanka since 2016. Each year, we
organize a showcase pavilion to promote Korean textile companies in Sri Lanka. This year, we are
showcasing more than 25 companies which are more than last year. We generated good enquiries from
the buyers who visited our pavilion. Most of the buyers we found are quite interested in sourcing apparel
textiles from Korea.

What the
Industry Speaks
“Congratulations to Intex South Asia for their 5th edition in Sri Lanka.
The show is getting bigger and better every year and we see a lot of
value for both our sourcing teams and our international customers. The
fact that TEXPROCIL is also here has added new dimensions and it will
help us to integrate more closely with the Indian suppliers. We hope we
can grow our business by importing and exporting in India.”
Aroon HirdaramaniDirector, Hirdaramani Group, Sri Lanka
“We are an agent and trading company from
Thailand supplying bers, yarns and fabrics to
many countries such as Vietnam, India, UAE,
South America, Turkey etc. I visited to identify
new suppliers and see new product designs
showcased by suppliers.”
Surachai Wongprompreeda ASWAKOV, Thailand
“This was our rst visit to Intex South Asia and
Sri Lanka. We found many suppliers whom we
can work for sourcing textiles and apparel for
our retail chain stores in Italy. The show gave us
good insights about the South Asian market
and soon we shall start our sourcing from this
region.”
Carolina LiTwin-Set Simona Barbieri, Italy
We have thoroughly enjoyed the Intex South
Asia. Hospitality and service provided was very
good. We came and met many suppliers at the
fair, which was very useful for our fabric sourcing
and further new innovations. We also enjoyed
two seminars, Which were very useful and
informative.
Manigandan GunasekaranShahi Exports, India
I would like to thank Worldex India for organising Intex South Asia 2019
in Bangladesh. We request them to arrange this event every year as it’s
good for the industry as well as gives us opportunity to meet textile
suppliers for our sourcing requirements. I visited 10-12 booths from
India, Thailand and Indonesia from which we found different innovative
products which would be very useful for Bangladesh market and our
requirements.
Md Asad HossainNext Sourcing, Bangladesh
“My team has been visiting the show and this is my rst visit to Intex
South Asia. It has been a good experience and connecting with good
certied suppliers. The best part of Intex South Asia is showcasing of
products is quite professional and bringing suppliers from the South-
east community of suppliers and buyers at your door-step. This
platform also brings a kind of collaboration between suppliers and
buyers. I wish Intex South Asia grows to much bigger in the coming
years.”
