Wissam Boustany, Gareth McLearnon & Abbie Burrows will provide classes for students from young beginners

(First Access level) to Diploma level adults

Wissam Boustany was born in Lebanon and his experiences of the war there have greatly influenced his outlook on both Life and Music. Wissam currently teaches at the RNCM and gives masterclasses in many other conservatoires in the UK and abroad. Well known for many years to Lakeland audiences as a performer who inspires his lis-teners with his energetic and communicative music-making.

Gareth McLearnon was born in Belfast and has a varied performing career from solo concerto appearances to playing regularly in the pit orchestras of London’s West End. He has led masterclasses and education events for young flute players both as a fea-tured artist in his own right, and through his work with the Children's Flute Playing Char-ity, Flutewise.

Abbie Burrows also enjoys a very varied music career: teaching privately and on courses, running outreach projects, freelancing in London orchestras and playing in vari-ous chamber groups When not playing the flute, Abbie is a keen writer and is currently working on a set of children's picture books about music.
