Membership

GRIET-Library and Information Centre is a member of DELNET.

Developing Library Network (DELNET)/Inter Library LoanDeveloping Library Network (DELNET): which is a network of 900 institutions and access is being given to more than 50 lakh records through online systems. Delnet has been actively engaged with the compilation of various union catalogue of the resources available in member libraries. It has already created the union catalogue of books, union list of current periodicals, CD ROM database. DELNET provides an array of facilities including E mail to its member libraries including both institutional and associate institutional members. It has indeed been a big leap towards the modernization of libraries in India.

DELNET is offering inter- Library loan & Document delivery services to its member libraries on request in delivering of books and journals through courier service

3. Arranging the library book along with other processed books to be displayed.

4. Announcing this list through email alert at the beginning of the month and send it to

faculty Email group / students, researchers and staff group.

5. Sending the processed books for display after entering the required details of the book in the library software.

6. Removing the already displayed books to the stack.

Coordination with Software team.Journal Acquisition & Information Services1. Procurement of journals.2. Inviting Invoices from the Publishers/Indian Agents and processing for payment 3. Correspondence with various Publishers/Agents/Departments/Centres of Institutions.Suggestions for New BooksLibrary members are encouraged to suggest new books for additions to the Library. Suggestion forms are available at the Library. Please route your requests through the Head of your Department. Books that can be useful in study or research to members are procured.

Borrowing BooksAfter selecting your books from the library shelves please present the same at the lending counter along with your Identity card. Only Staff/Student members are entitled to borrow books from the library.
