Introduction

Chongqing has a significant history and culture and serves as the economic center of the upstream Yangtze basin. It is a major manufacturing center and transportation hub and in a July 2012 report by the Economist Intelligence Unit, was named as one of the 13 emerging megacities, or megalopolises, in China.

Yangzi river, the longest river in China isright running through the mountain city -Chongqing where the origin of Bashuculture generated from.

For thousands of years ,people here immerse themselves in the gorgeous culture and always proud of their unique culture. The carrier of culture Sichuan Opera, Sichuan embroidery andtea art permeate Chongqing people’s life.

Chongqing, which means double/repeated happy celebration, is a majorcity in Southwest China and one of the five national ,central Cities in the People's Republic of China (PRC).

About AIESEC CQU

AIESEC CQU was founded in early 2008, initially only for studentsin Chongqing University, but now it focus on all the university students of Chongqing. AIESEC CQU has totally 37 members in IGX,OGX,TM and Finance, of which 13members working in the LC a leadership role.

Until September,2010, AIESEC CQU has been formedwith a number of cooperation between enterprises inChongqing, including Southwestern University OverseaConsulting Center , Kayaneer, Owen English, Hampson.And the EP of AIESEC CQU had been sent to Central andEastern Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and South Asia.

At the beginning of as for the iGCDPfunction, we have launchedmany projects such as “Human Library” ,”Dare to Dream”, ”HEY! Chongqing”, “HEY!DOVE”, “Empowered Youth”, and we have provide a very good experience for the exchange participants from all over the world such as Poland, Lithuania, Switzerland, Oman, Thailand, Austria, Australia and so on……

Bayu Culture

Background of Sichuan OperaSichuan Opera is the face of the special skills of theperforming arts one. It is the characters inner thoughtsand feelings of the performance of a romantic way.Face approach can be divided into three types - handface, blowing face, push face. Sichuan Opera is thetreasure house of Chinese opera in a Guangcaizhaorenthe pearl. It has a long history of keeping the finetraditions of a lot of repertoire, and rich melodies andsuperb performing arts.

Overall the art form is well known for its singing,which is less constrained than that of the morepopular Beijing opera form. Sichuan opera is more likea play than other forms of Chinese opera, and theacting is highly polished. The music accompanyingSichuanese opera utilizes a small gong and aninstrument called a Muqin, which is similar to the Erhu.

The traditional formula is quite systematic with acombination of stunts like face-changing, tihuiyan,sword-hiding, fire-spitting and beard-changing with the

plot and different characters.

Background of Shu Embroidery

Shu embroidery is renowned for its superb workmanship, smooth and bright in quality. It has strong expression and artistic effect. The features of it are said as "fine and smooth needlework, simple and elegant colors, graceful and easy lines and the traditional Chinese paintings' style ". Its needling characteristics lie in "the even stitches, bright threads, closeness and softness in texture, and both centrifugal and centripetal needling". The embroidery takes locally-produced colorful satin and threads as its materials.

Shu embroidery (Shu is the shortened form of Sichuan), also called "Chuan embroidery", is one of the four famous embroidery styles in China. It has enjoyed high reputation as "a treasure of Sichuan" ever since the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD).Shu embroidery is particularly characterized by the closeness of its stitching, which allows Shu embroiderers to highlight miniscule details in the subjects they produce. A Shu embroidered piece may include hundreds of thousands of stitches in a single figure or animal, and may take many

days or even week s to complete.
