Our Belief
The voice is the most natural and
first form of making music.
Everyone was created with the
ability to sing and can be successful
singers. Our goal is the make you
comfortable singing and teaching
you students how to sing.
Warm-ups
Group Circle Moving in a circle while blowing
Moving in a circle blowing out/followed by syllable. Add taps while moving
Pitch Talk/Connect
• Choose popular song• Adjust pitch if too high• Know your song
• Group circle echo• Continuous echo
• Move from one group to the other
Your Pulse
Good posture is important but not rigid
Feet should be grounded with
movement
Movement can be: taping your feet,
nodding you head, swaying back and
forth, or dancing.
Master the Microphone
Microphone is part of your top lip and
close to your mouth
Practice with an object in hand
Object in fist moves close to your lip in the
direction of your head mouth and lips
Set up microphones in the front of the
classroom and call a group of students up
to practice together.
