We have three RFQ opportunities – as follows. Please let us know which ones you would like to be considered for and submit samples to support previous work. 1. New wayfinding system for Waltham Campus

• The existing wayfinding for Waltham will be redesigned along with systems for the new building. Navigation from front door to central check-in involves several turns and will be one major issue to solve.

2. Donor Recognition – plaques and donor walls (both campuses)

• Two new donor walls, one on each campus in central locations, will recognize capital gifts. Should serve to thank donors, engage and inspire all who pass (patient families, caregivers and donors alike) and educate audience on importance of philanthropy and mission of BCH.

• Campaign recognition wall—a unique installation housed on the main campus to recognize current campaign donors.

• Individual plaque recognition program for named spaces. Gifts of $100K+ will recognized with a plaque and/or mounted lettering system depending on gift amount.

3. Elevator Lobby Art – experiential graphics (both campuses)

• Applied graphic in any very durable material with option for recessed sculptural elements, backlit graphics or other media such as projected graphics or motion sensor is also possible.

• The elevator lobby condition is similar at Waltham and BCCB with opportunity for thematic development on different levels. There are 8 floors in BCCB and 5 in Waltham

• Environmental graphics that create continuity between floors, tie to existing themes, and engage many ages and cultures.

Review Process: You may apply for one or more opportunities through this call. We will be evaluating based on previous work. Shortlisted artist/designer/teams will be interviewed and asked to prepare a fee proposal. The selected artist/designer/team for each project will work in partnership with the project architect and Boston Children’s planning department to incorporate any architectural needs before DD drawings are due this summer. Materials will be evaluated together with project architects and appropriate committees.
