• Two independent clauses can be joined in four principal ways:

• Comma + Coordinating Conjunction (FANBOYS) – For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So

• Semicolon Only

• Semicolon + Conjunctive Adverb (However, Therefore, Moreover, Consequently, Nevertheless)

• Period (making it two separate sentences)
