Thoughtfully crafted, effectively executed.
TAG L I N E
Established in 2010, New Leaf Builders represents the partnership of Grant Zinkon and Adam Baslow. New
Leaf Builders is a local, award-winning builder with communities on James Island, Johns Island, West
Ashley, Mt. Pleasant and North Charleston.
New Leaf takes a hands-on and thoughtful approach to every project, each rooted in environmentally
responsible building techniques. Whether our team designs the entire neighborhood from start to finish or
takes on a few lots in an established association, our approach will always create a unique and individual
home which fits well with the feel of its neighbors. We create communities that live differently.
The team is active, present and attentive from the moment foundation is poured to the time keys are
handed over to the proud new homeowners. New Leaf finds success in the new construction industry by
staying at the forefront of top-of-the-line building materials from sound sources and innovative homebuild-
ing trends. Inspired by the charm of the Lowcountry, New Leaf partners with an expansive list of local talent
that is thoughtfully selected for each new homebuyer’s unique needs and desires. New Leaf’s personalized
approach to building grants buyers the opportunity to collaborate with our design team ensuring that their
cabinets, surfaces, lighting, hardware and all other decorative elements pull together a well refined space
that will be loved for years to come.
There truly is no place like home with New Leaf Builders.

Like New Leaf, our logo is strong
and steadfast. The new logo evokes
clarity, value and respect for the
environment with the inclusion of a
variation of its original leaf submark.
The green palette is fresh, vibrant
and approachable, representing
New Leaf’s focus on sustainability,
classic design elements and its
commitment to build homes that
stand the test of time. Finally, the
new typeface lends a modern, and
clean look, which underlines New
Leaf’s ability to stay at the forefront
of the new construction industry.
Be sure to give the logo room to
breath. An area of space should
be applied around the logo to
ensure it stands confidently on
it’s own.
The minimum clear space for the
logo is defined as the height of
the “N”.
Be conscious of the logo’s size and
legibility. In this example, both
logos are 1/2” tall, but when
including the Leaf element, the
word ‘builders’ becomes illegible,
and the text-only version should be
used.

VECTOR FILES
A vector file can be scaled to any
size without any loss of quality. This
is because it’s built up from
mathematically precise points.
Vector files are the type you will
require to get anything
professionally printed, or if
submitting to a vendor or another
designer.
∙ AI - Adobe Illustrator file
∙ EPS - Vector based image
∙ PDF - Document will all design elements included (contains a white background)
RASTER FILES
Raster files are built up of small
squares: pixels. This means that as
you increase the size of your image,
it will become blocky, or appear to
be blurred. This is why a logo design
should be created in vector format
for the best results.
∙ JPEG - Photo (contains a white background)
∙ PNG - Graphic with no background (most commonly used)
RESOLUTION
When using raster images,
the key is using the image
correctly, which comes
down to resolution.
72 dots per inch (dpi) is
standard web/screen
resolution
300 dots per inch is
desirable for print
applications

To ensure contrast, and prevent the
logo from getting lost in a layout, the
Logo Tag Box can be used. This
element is best at the top corner,
and should always be white text on a
green field. The box should always
bleed off the page, no white on the
alignment edge.

Product photography,
indoor and outdoor, should
be well-lit with nice contrast,
finished and furnished home
pieces. No construction
shots, or work in progress
pieces, unless the layout
calls for it.
Lifestyle images should be
bright and vibrant. The
images should be able to
tell their own story, with or
without companion type.
Overall, they should be fairly
minimalistic and subtle,
evoking a builder meant for
a youthful and modern
family. Photography should
feel regional and earthy,
with a Lowcountry influence.
