Brazil LAND OF ADVENTURE
Few countries can offer the visitor what BRASIL has to offer:natural attractions, adventure, sports, historic cities, culture,popular festivals, gastronomy and hospitable people. There’sa world to be discovered just in this one country.And talking adventure, BRAZIL is of course world famous forhosting part of the Amazon forest and its gigantic riversystem. Some of you might even have heard or be familiarwith our wetlands: The Pantanal, but most have never seenthe outlandish Lençois Maranhenses, this dunescape with itsfreshwater lakes, or did you know that the ChapadaDiamaninta also called eth Brazilian Canyon, lies in the stateof Bahia and that the park by the same name is the size ofBelgium, and then there is still the Jalapao, still being exploredand of course Mt Roraima, unforgettable 5 to 7 day hike intoanother world, time., or yet yoall the u may want to cross thetrans oceanic highway by bus all the way to the to the pacificocean , crossing Brazil and Peru.On the following pages we have focused on adventuredestinations solely, all of them can be combined with eachother or be a part of a complete itinerary including otherdestinations within BRAZIL.

With its continental dimensions, Brazil has large,
preserved, natural, ecosystems, some
with unique characteristics on this planet.
Huge areas covered with rainforest, crossed bymagnificent rivers and waterfalls, spectacularwetlands and mountain ranges that will makeyou feel part of the fauna and flora.
Some of the following destinations are icons ofthe international ecotourism, like the Amazon,the Pantanal, Jalapão, the Fernando de Noronhaarchipelago and the Lençois Maranhenses, toname just a few, because there is a whole worldto discover out there.

The Amazon region can be visited in quite a few ways:In Brazil, mainly Manaus is used as entry port to the Amazon basin , but other entry points exist such as Alta Floresta, Tefe but they are harder to reach. Staying at one of the more comfortable jungle lodges or have a cruise on one of the typical Amazon river boats. Or go for the hardcore survival method in lodges which offer basic commodities (make your own food etc…) to pure survival inside the jungle with guides of course.We can of course propose taylor made solutions. 3 nights are generally enough to have a starter idea of what this amazing ecosystem is all about, cruises generally go up to 7 nights and are a mobile way to discover this vast region and adventure deep into the jungle upstream from the Amazon river.
Although there are several jungle lodges around Manaus, some only 20 minutes away, others 6 to 9 hours, most of them offer the same experiences and activities which generally include: nature hikes around the lodges to understand local fauna and flora and how the indigenous (caboclos) use the jungle to their benefit without exhausting it. Canoe trips through the many canals spotting animals, etc… They mostly differ in their location and therefore surrounding ecosystem. The fact that you only the fact that they are deper in the jungle offers a more immersing experieince. Even so , you must not forget that the proximity of Manaus to the lodges ceerainly influences , but that finally Maanaus is a city in the jungle, only reachable by air and water.Than there are the ldoges that offer some more genuine experinefes like survavila style with a min of comfort, or simple 2 nights int the jungl with guides of course.Most f the lodges offer a full board and 3 nights are generally enough to do the basic experience.
