A Message from the Parliamentarian

In recent weeks, each club President should have received a letter via email from their club liaison concerning a Federation Bylaw Amendment. The proposed amendment will allow the Federation Board to vote on issues via electronic means whenever an emergency situation warrants it. Please advise your members that we will be voting on the following amendment at our Fall meeting in August:

Article IX – Delegates and Voting Power

Section 2: Voting Power

d. A vote of the elected Federation officers conducted via electronic mail shall be permissible between scheduled meetings of the Executive Board as deemed necessary by the President. The Parliamentarian shall distribute the ballots, receive and count the returned ballots, and announce the results to the Executive Board. The rules for constitution of a quorum of Executive Board members as outlined in Article X shall apply. In addition, the Federation has requested a copy of each club’s bylaws plus Standard Operating Procedure of scholarship determination. The Board hopes to create a master file and to make certain that all clubs are in compliance with the IRS 501(c)(3) regulations. Copies should be sent to Parliamentarian Peggy Spaeth ’74 by October 1, 2009 at 2519 Riata Lane, Houston, Texas 77043; or you may email them to her at [email protected]. If you have any questions, contact Peggy at (832) 216-7315.

AGGIE MOM CAMP 2017-18

February 2 - 4, 2018 Hilton Hotel, College Station

Our Aggies have Fish Camp, S.A.L.T. Camp or T-Camp to aid in their transition from home to college life and to introduce them to the traditions of Texas A&M University. Aggie Moms also have CAMP! Every year since 1994, the Federation of TAMU Mothers' Clubs has held Aggie Mom Camp in Aggieland. The goal of the event is similar to that of the camps for our Aggies. The Federation hopes to have experienced Aggie Moms help new Aggie Moms with the transition as their child leaves home to attend Texas A&M University and to introduce them to the wonderful traditions of A&M. Aggie Mom Camp is also a great weekend for the experienced Aggie Mom. In addition, we have loads of fun!! There are campus tours, group sessions, skits, shopping, and lots of bonding with both "old" and "new" Aggie Moms. Join us for Aggie Mom Camp to meet other Aggie Moms and have a wonderful weekend in Aggieland! For More Information, Contact your Aggie Mom Camp Co-Chairs Connie Fletcher Pritchard '81 and Linda Knapick..
