    5.02.050 Denial, Suspension, Revocation

    The Director of Community Development, or any designee thereof, shall order the denial,suspension or revocation of a business registration certificate upon grounds that the businessdoes not comply with the requirements of the Glendale Municipal Code.

    A. Notice: Notice of denial, suspension or revocation shall be made to the applicant of recordand shall include the reasons therefore, action(s) necessary to achieve compliance, date bywhich compliance (if applicable) is expected and information on the procedure to appeal thedetermination.

    B. Appeal: The decision of the Director of Community Development shall become final fifteen(15) days following the date of the decision unless an appeal to the Planning Commission isfiled, as provided by this code (Chapter 30.62). The decision of the Planning Commission isfinal.

    5.02.060 Supersedure of Use and Occupancy Permits, Zoning Use Certificates

    Effective (date), holders of valid use and occupancy permits issued pursuant to section 110 ofthe Glendale Building and Safety Code, which section was repealed by Ordinance No. 5284 andall pending applications therefore; and valid zoning use certificates issued pursuant to Chapter30 of the Glendale Municipal Code shall be subject to Chapter 5.02. The adaption of Chapter5.02 does not affect any civil or criminal lawsuit or prosecutions instituted or filed for ordinanceviolations committed on or prior to (date, and does not waive any fee or penalty due and unpaidprior to such date.

    5.02.070 Resubmittal of Applications

    No business registration application which has been denied in whole or in part shall be filedagain within six (6) months from the date of such denial, except upon proof of changedconditions or by permission of the Director of Community Development.

    5.02.080 Annual Renewal of Use and Occupancy Permits, Zoning Use Certificates

    Holders of valid Use and Occupancy Permits and Zoning Use Certificates shall be subject to therenewal provisions of this chapter. Holders of such certificates shall pay all fees and shallsubmit a renewal application for their certificates during the month of the original date ofissuance, commencing one year following the adoption of this ordinance.

    A business that has a valid Use and Occupancy Certificate or a Zoning Use Certificate issuedfor an existing legal non-conforming use shall be renewed as a Business RegistrationCertificate, providing such use shall continues to meet the requirements for a legal non-conforming use, as defined in Chapter 30.60 of this code.

    5.02.090 Enforcement

    The provisions of this chapter are non-exclusive and supplementary to existing rights andremedies. Nothing set forth herein shall prevent the city from commencing any appropriateaction with respect to enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. This section shallsupplement and be in addition to other regulatory codes, statutes and ordinances heretofore orhereafter or hereafter enacted by the city, state or any other legal entity or agency having

    jurisdiction.
