Lots of people believe the air in their homes is good …

... but far too frequently, the air in our homes is even worse than the air out on the street. Research and studies show that in our major cities, there can be as much as 2 to 10 times* more contaminated air indoors than outdoors. In turn, this can lead to asthma, allergies and even lung cancer. Quite simply, we need fresh air if we are to feel great.Many homes are unable to guarantee healthy indoor air. Rather worryingly, not many residents realise just how serious the situation is.

Elevated radon values in indoor air can be traced directly back to outdated ventilation solutions that are incapable of removing contaminated air from the home. In some cases, the situation is even made worse by the old ventilation. Every year, a large number of people all over the world are affected by lung cancer as a consequence of exposure to radon.

Ventilation with heat recovery (FTX) not only guarantees healthy air exchange in your home, but is also a healthy investment as it will reduce your heating costs and benefit both your pocket and the environment that we all share.

How ventilation with heat recovery (FTX) works The cold Outdoor Air is filtered and meets the warm Exhaust Air in the rotary heat exchanger and then carries on travelling into the house as Supply Air. The used extract air is discharged from the house as exhaust air.

This is how your controlled residential ventilation works:Using the rooms, kitchen, bathroom and toilet, your ventilation system vents waste air outside. Depending on the system, a heat exchanger extracts the heat from waste air first. At the same time, outdoor air from outside is taken in and filtered.If necessary, the heat exchanger pre-tempers the cool outside air using the waste air. The outdoor air then flows through the vents into the rooms. From there, the supply

air flows through openings in the doors (door gap or grille) across the overflow area (corridor and floorboards) into the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. This way, the two different types of air don’t mix.

The result: an optimum air ratio and a pleasant room climate.

With a counter flow heat exchanger you can achieve the highest degree of heat recovery. The system automatically switches between normal mode with heat recovery and summer mode without it. In summer a bypass function overrides the heat recovery.

And the cleverest in its class is Systemair’s recently developed SAVECair control system with an unique touch display.This will give you and your family the best possible indoor air in all situations, while also helping you to save energy.

SAVE units are controlled by means of a modern touch display mounted on the ventilation unit. And of course, you can fit it to the wall in your hallway. The display is every bit as attractive, effective and easy to use as your smartphone.

More convenience, less energy consumption

The homepage of the display shows information such as the air flow, temperature, air quality and active functions. You can schedule preferred settings such as Away mode – for when nobody is at home – with just a couple of presses. If you feel the air needs refreshing quickly when you arrive home, simply press Refresh.

Air to get the party goingYour touch display and the App* allow you to easily access a number of preset functions such as forced airflow (Crowded) when you have guests round. Another smart function is Fireplace, which creates tempo- rary overpressure when you want to light a fire. This makes it easier to get the fire going, and you will not end up with a smoky room either. There is also a function for people with central vacuum cleaner systems. The intelligent system also measures moisture, CO2 and odours and issues direct alerts if anything needs to be rectified. In other words, an efficient ventilation unit using the SAVECair control is a really smart investment.
