Enclosed you will find information on up-coming club meetings and 4-H events. We look forward to an excit-ing, new 4-H year! I encourage each of you to try a new project or join a new 4-H pro-gram this year!

Applications are now available at the Extension Office for the Teen Leadership Academy, class of 2016-2017. This is a
multi-county leadership program that meets during the school day once a month from September to May. This program is a great oppor-tunity for incoming 8th-11th graders. Apply now!

Mark your calendars! 4-H Awards Night
Date: Thursday, October 20th Time: 6 p.m. (ct)
Location: Community Building, Extension Office
We will be celebrating this 4-H year and recognizing all our 4-H members and
leaders. Please email photos from this 4-H year for the slide show presentation to
the Extension Office.
Don’t forget about the Cake and Pie Auction at Awards Night!
Bring a dessert or gift basket for the auction or come bid on delicious desserts
from our 4-H community!
Poultry Club
The next club meeting will be Tuesday, October 25th
at 6 p.m. (ct) in the Extension Office Basement.
Rabbit Club
The next club meeting is Monday, September 19th at 6 p.m. (ct)
in the Extension Farmers’ Market & Educational Facility.
4-H Puppy Pals
Puppy Pals will meet on the following Thursdays September 1, 15, 22 & 29
at 6 p.m. (ct) at Lazy Jim Day Dog Training Facility (6396 West Hwy 60

4-H Wranglers’ Horse Club
Horse Club’s next meeting is Thursday, September 1st at

The next club meeting will be Tuesday, October 25th from 4 to 6 p.m. (ct)

The next meeting of this club will be Tuesday, August 30th from 3 to 4 p.m. (ct) Club meetings in September are scheduled
for Tuesday, September 13th and Tuesday, September 27th
These meetings are held in Room 307 at the Breckinridge County Middle School.

The NEW Photography Club will be exploring 4-H
Photography curriculum with topics ranging from
equipment basics, taking photos, light and flash,
depth of field, aperture, shutter speeds, lighting
techniques, filters, and much more!
