Lake Garda on two wheels - The scenic route of Mt. BaldoFirst follow the busy road SS240 beyond Nago towards Mori, whose centre branches off on the SP 3 to Brentonico. After pass-ing the first switchbacks, the road climbs constantly. A Brentonico begins the beautiful 49 km jour-ney on a mountain ridge that takes you to the panoramic road of Mt. Baldo. The landscape is constantly changing between ma-jestic cliffs and green meadows. Last but not least, the breathtak-ing panorama also invites motor-cycle enthusiasts to choose this tour. On a clear day, the view extends from the north end of the lake to the mountains of the Ad-amello. Your adrenaline will be pumping on the particularly tight

turns around Bocca di Navene behind St. Giacomo. The restau-rant with the roof terrace located here is ideal for a stopover. Spi-azzi merits a visit, where a small road on the left leads to the Sanc-tuary of Our Lady of the Crown, which is situated in a beautiful location high above the neigh-bouring Adige Valley. At Caprino Veronese the scenic route ends. Above the town of Affi the road branches off to the eastern shore of the lake towards the town of Garda.

exciting challenge for bikers in Bren-zone on Lake Garda: the Punta Veleno extreme trailIn the 70's Vincenzo Torriani, head of the Giro d’Italia, went to Lake Garda to set the course for a circuit from Assenza di Brenzone towards Prada leading up the slopes of Mt. Telegrafo to the Mt. Baldo chain. Upon returning from his visit, Torriani named the circuit

"Punta Veleno"(Poison Point) be-cause of its extreme degree of dif-ficulty and the steep climb. Now this path in Brenzone and Prada Alta is a legend, not only for the physical and training it requires, but for the iron will that is nec-essary: each metre of the route requires so much determination that the temptation to give up is very strong. But for those who struggle and reach the summit, there is the great satisfaction and a breathtaking view that makes it all worthwhile.
