Brian Willis was a three sport athlete at Revere in football, diving, and track. In football he was a three-year letter winner, a three-year starter, and two time all-league selection (including offensive player of the year twice). He is Revere’s career leader in rushing yards (3,724 yards), touchdowns scored (41), and second in scoring (258 points). The teams he played on went 29-7 including back-to-back playoff qualifiers and league champions. His team won a league record 23 straight league games. He was part of the 1990 State Runner-Up team that was inducted into the Revere Athletic Hall of Fame. In diving he was the first person in school history to letter in div- ing and came within 20 points of qualifying for state his sophomore year. In track he was one of the top point scorers and record setter in the 100M, 200M, and 400M relay. The relay team (Willis, Penzenik, Smith, and Weaver) set the school record of 43.7 which is still a school record. He went on to play football at Ohio Wesleyan University where he was a 4- year letterman and rushed for 1,772 yards and 10 touchdowns. I want to give a special thanks to our coaches for not just the many life lessons but for making us truly believe in ourselves and to live our dreams.
