The Unicist Research Institute (TURI) is a private research center that is a world leader in its segment. Since 1976, it has been specialized in complexity sciences ap-plied to the research on the roots of evolution and its application to social, institution-al, business and individual evolution.

The unicist evolutionary approach was created to man-age adaptive systems and environments. It is based on the use of a triadic approach that is homologous with the structure that regulates the evolution of nature and the cosmos.

The discovery of the ontogenesis of evolution, the uni-cist logic and the roots of the functionality of intelli-gence allowed generating the unicist artificial intelli-gence, building expert systems, developing the unicist evolutionary approach and conceptual protocols to sim-plify the development of solutions in adaptive environ-ments.

TURI has a business arm, an academic arm and a social arm.

The business arm is the Unicist Confederation that pro-vides business objects driven solutions that materialize the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The academic arm is a business school based on the uni-cist evolutionary approach.

The social arm is The Unicist School that develops so-cial and individual development projects and programs.

Beyond Dualism: The Unicist Logic

3

Unicist AI

The unicist logic made the development of the Unicist Artificial Intelligence possible.

The Unicist Artificial Intelligence emulates the human reflection process to appre-hend the concepts of complex adaptive systems and environments. It uses the rules of the unicist logic and allows developing solutions and learning from the pilot tests of their implementation until their functionality has been confirmed.

The Unicist Artificial Intelligence implies the integration of data-based AI and funda-mentals-based AI.

The categories defined by fundamentals-based AI minimize the subjective biases of data-based AI, while the data-based AI allows quantifying the specific structure of fundamentals-based AI to establish the aspects of the categories and segments of enti-ties to build solutions.

The Unicist Logic is a synthetic logic that emulates the ontogenetic intelligence of nature and its maximal strategies to grow and minimum strategies to survive.

It was developed to validate the triadic functionality of natural and artificial complex adaptive systems and to design and build binary actions to manage them.

The unicist logic is a universal logic because it is based on the principles that define the essential functionality of nature. It allows dealing with adaptive environments and is the integrator of all logical reasoning patterns.

The unicist logical approach provides a solution that al-lows managing the functionality, dynamics and evolution of adaptive functions to establish strategies to deal with adaptive environments.

Unicist Expert Systems

The Expert Systems were developed at The Unicist Research Institute to develop so-lutions in the field of adaptive processes that are feedback dependent.

They provide solutions in the field of action that need to be adapted to the specific conjuncture of the processes involved. They are updated using the Unicist Artificial Intelligence to expand the knowledge based on the experiences of the system.

The use of the expert systems is based on the extreme design methodology that in-cludes the participation of a coordinator, an ombudsman/woman and a fallacy shoot-er. The use of the Unicist XD methodology sustains the simplicity and reliability of design processes.

With multiple specialized modules to solve specific problems, these systems manage the unified field of processes to manage their adaptability. The management of adap-tive processes is a turning point in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The unicist logic allowed accessing the root causes of problems in adaptive environ-ments. It gave access to manage the functionality of the concepts and fundamentals that define these root causes making possible what was not possible before.

1) The forecast of social behavior The development of the ontogenetic maps of social functions allows forecasting their evolution using the unicist evolutionary approach. It allows managing social conflicts and crises.

2) Organization of social systems The knowledge of the ontogenetic maps of social functions allows defining and organizing the dynamics of their functionality.

3) Research of the root causes of problems in social environments The root causes of social conflicts and crises are the dysfunctionalities of the con-cepts and fundamentals of the functions, agents and roles involved. It allows em-powering social synergy.

4) The design and development of social objects The definition of business functions allows building social objects that drive social evolution and defining the dynamics of agents and roles.

5) The design, building and installation of social catalysts Biological catalysts are homologous to social catalysts. The unicist logic allowed defining the structure of the catalysts of biological processes and developing social process catalysts.

The unicist logic applied to businesses allows defining the functionality, dynamics and evolution of business functions and processes. It also allows defining what is possible to be achieved and defining maximal strategies to grow and minimum strategies to en-sure survival by developing the corresponding binary actions to make them happen.

1) The definition of what is possible to be achieved in adaptive environments

The unicist evolutionary approach requires defining first what is possible to be achieved before defining what one wants to achieve. This avoids defining falla-cious objectives.

2) Research of the root causes of problems in adaptive environments

The root causes of problems in adaptive processes are defined by the dysfunction-ality of the concepts and fundamentals of the functions involved. This allows opti-mizing and structuring adaptive processes.

3) Management of the fundamentals of business functions Business functions are necessarily adaptive to satisfy the needs of the environment. The management of their fundamentals allows ensuring their adaptiveness.

4) Development of maximal and minimum strategy actions The unicist strategy emulates the intelligence of nature by developing maximal strategies to grow and minimum strategies to ensure results.

5) Development of unicist binary actions to ensure results The need of maximal and minimum strategy actions requires developing sets of bi-nary actions that influence the environment by fitting into preexisting concepts.

6) The forecast of social, organizational and individual behavior The knowledge of the structure of the concepts of business functions allows man-aging their functionality, dynamics and evolution based on the laws of evolution provided by the unicist evolutionary approach.

7) The design and development of social and business objects The management of adaptive environments requires installing objects that drive processes and ensure their functionality and evolution.

8) Organization of adaptive systems The knowledge of the structure of the concepts of adaptive systems and environ-ments allows defining and organizing the dynamics of their functionality.

9) The design, building and installation of business catalysts

Biological catalysts are homologous to social and business catalysts. The unicist logic allowed defining the structure of the catalysts of biological processes and developing business process catalysts.

10) Future Scenario Building The management of the laws of evolution allowed developing a future research model that is based on finding the unicist ontological structures of a scenario in the past, and using the data of the present in order to infer the future.

The unicist logic applied to personal evolution allows understanding the functionality of the personal evolutionary processes and guides people in their evolution. This knowledge provides the core information for educational, counseling and coaching processes. It also allows establishing what is possible to be achieved.

1) Development of maximal and minimum personal strategies

The unicist logic emulates the intelligence of nature and therefore allows emulating evolution. Personal evolution is fully dependent on the capacity of developing maximal strategies to grow and minimum strategies to ensure survival.

2) Fallacy avoidance

The knowledge of the ontogenetic maps of human actions allows minimizing the building of fallacies that inhibit personal and social evolution.

3) Management of the root causes of personal problems The root causes of personal problems people have in the environment are defined by the dysfunctionality of their concepts and fundamentals. Understanding root causes allows managing personal conflicts and crises.

4) The use of personal evolution catalysts Biological catalysts are homologous to individual catalysts. The unicist logic al-lowed defining the structure of the catalysts of biological processes and develop-ing personal evolution catalysts.

5) The definition of what is possible to be achieved The unicist evolutionary approach to personal evolution is a constructivist approach that avoids defining fallacious objectives.

6) Development of unicist binary actions to ensure results Univocal actions generate reactions. The use of binary actions allows influencing the environment without generating reactions, which increases the personal influ-ence in an environment.

7) Management of the fundamentals of social integration Social integration is a core aspect of individual evolution. The understanding of the personal concepts allows empowering social integration.

8) The forecast of personal behavior Human actions are driven by the concepts people have in their minds. The knowledge of these concepts allows individuals to understand the drivers of their actions and define their possible evolution.

9) The design and development of learning objects

Personal evolution is driven by the personal learning capacity, which can be em-powered by the use of learning objects that simplify the approach to the concepts and fundamentals of “things”.

10) Future Scenario Building The unicist logic allows managing the ontogenetic maps of social functions. This allows developing future scenarios to make personal decisions to better adapt to the environment.
