Ray Cattle's recently acquired BK350. Hopefully we will see some more pictures as the project progresses
The BK350 when sold in
2014. Looks good but not
yet a runner.
A 1960 Simson AWO 425S. This is one of the last models of this
type with the rubber mounted engine. Soon after, Simson
abandoned 4-strokes and made only the small 2-strokes
An R35-2 dating from 1950 and made in what by was then East
Germany at the former BMW works in Eisenach. The bike is
almost totally a copy of the pre-war BMW R35 and was badged as
a BMW until circa 1951. Thereafter they were called EMWs with
red rather than blue badges.
A 1971 ETS250/1-G5 otherwise known as the ISDT MZ. This
came out of a garage in February 2010 after being out of use for
over 30 years. The same bike after some tidying up.
Another Simson, this time a 1987 S51 4 speed still missing a few
parts. A pretty little 1990 ETZ150 one owner from new before it came
my way
Bruce Cunninham's Simson S51B 3 speed model leaning against
a woodpile at his home in Hungary. Bruce keeps us posted on
Hungarian activities from time to time
Not to be outdone, this is a picture of my 1984 S70 Simson in
January 2010. Just MoT'd and taxed and a sprightly little bike.
The ETS150 Trophy Sport as collected by Ray Cattle in
November 2008 The same bike freshly restored (March 2009) one of only 3
known in the UK.
Paul Griffiths at the Salutation 11th January 2007 with his newly
rebuilt TS150. Looked lovely and a brave man to bring it out for
the first time in such appalling weather.
Another Peter Special. This time an ETZ 250 motor with a TS250
barrel/piston/head grafted on. You can just see the adapter plate.
A 1981 base model ETZ250, note no oil pump housing or tank, drum brake and no tacho.
A 1974 4 speed TS250. Note the chromed front fork sliders, the
lower slung headlight and the 16" wheel which give it a
recognizably different look to the later 5 speed models.
