As you will remember, this is a termly event and is an open invitation to hear a short presentation on a school related educa-tional topic, a chance to share ideas and feedback and to engage in an open question and answer session on any issue that may be of current relevance. For this session I would like to focus on giving an update on our School Development Plan and the various priorities we are working on. Mrs Marie Moreton (Head of Primary) and Mrs Zsofia Alibaux-Jakab (Head of Secondary) will also be present as well. Year 7 Art Project
This week, students are working on the final piece of this Modigliani self-
portrait module. (This is related to the Modigliani exhibition that they visited in
the National Gallery at the end of September) They are completing a self-
portrait in the style of the artist using collage materials they have painted them-
selves. The self-portraits have been
made alongside English lessons about
autobiographical notes and how to make
them as well as History lessons on time-
lines.
New displays by the Art room with
some samples of year 7 1-line draw-
ings. Students drew and painted these
portraits to explore the possibilities in
portrait drawing as well as painting
techniques.

PSA News International Day 31 countries, lovely parents, happy students, beautiful decoration, lots of
food and full tummies ;-) ! Oh my, what a great International Day it was! We would like to thank all those parents who cooked, baked, decorated and/or participated in this year's food court and made International Day a memorable day for students, staff and parents. This is our 6th respective-ly 5th International Day and by far this version was the grandest, so well done to all. All the food that was left, was brought over by lovely Zita Havasi to the homeless shelter in Danko utca where they were extremely happy with not only the quantity but also the diversity of the food. We certainly made many people happy for a little while. The jolly season! With autumn break behind us, we are slowly but steadily moving toward the winter season. Of course your PSA would like contribute to the jolly season feeling in different ways. We will be giving you the opportunity to a Britannica gingerbread baking for children in the InterContinental Hotel on Saturday December 10th, a door Wreath workshop for parents by Flow-erMe, a Christmas Wishing Tree for the children home in Bicske together with the DoE students and our own little Christmas market: Brilliant Bri-tannica. So please watch this space! Facebook Please find us on Facebook as well where have created a closed group. All parents and staff are invited to join us. Within this group we exchange ideas, information, articles, events and photos. Britannica Budapest PSA Have a lovely weekend! Rita & Vera
