BRITISH EVENTING IS THE NATIONAL GOVERNING BODY FOR THE SPORT IN GREAT BRITAIN

Eventing is a unique combination of dressage, cross country and show jumping in one exciting activity. It’s a sport that engages all ages and has equal opportunities to compete.

British Eventing regulate as well as schedule more than 180 events throughout Britain that cater for nearly 94,000 entries per season (Mar-Oct).

British Eventing has more than 15,500 members and provides opportunities for riders from grassroots to those performing at international level.

To deliver the sport on a national basis to the highest standard, British Eventing train hundreds of volunteers, officials, riders and technical support teams. The result is that the UK has successful European medal winning teams at Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Senior level.

SPONSORSHIP OF STEPPING STONES TRAINING SERIESBackground British Eventing are rolling out a nationwide training series called ‘Stepping Stones’ for riders at 1* level. This initiative has been launched in order to meet the training demands of riders at this level and the specific training has been developed by experienced British Eventing Accredited Coaches Gill Watson MBE FBHS and Lizzel Winter FBHS.

Training dates in 2016 will incorporate dressage test practice, show jumping training, cross country sessions and video analysis. It is anticipated that there will be six training sessions held nationwide in 2016.Free course walks for 1*will also be available at specific CCI and CIC events in 2016, as part of the Stepping Stones training series.
