KINDERGARTEN DR. SEUSS DRESS UP DAY

    Wednesday, March 26th!

A Note Parents of Bugsy Malone Performers:Costumes:Bugsy Maloneis set in the early 1930s just after the depression.

Everyone should have a costume that suggest this special theme.

These should NOT be complicated costumes. In fact, you do not

need and entire costume since accessories can be very evocative of a

period. For example, you might look at home or in thrift shops for:

hats are a possibility simple dresses for girls, short-wide ties for boys.

Hair gel will also help to create the special look; girls with spit curls

and boys with really slicked back hair. We have purchased gangster

type hats and other special accessories for the main characters. If

you still have questions about your childs costume, please feel free to

call Mr. Broadhurst at school or send an email.

Fourth Grade Trip to the Oyster Reef

Each year, the Fourth Graders participate in the Oyster Reef Keepers program through

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Last Tuesday, they went to visit their oyster floats

located in Larchmont to clean the outside of the float, take a random sampling of

oysters and measure them. On Tuesday, March 25th

they will go out on the BayWatcher

boat to transplant the oysters on a reef on a branch of the Elizabeth River.
