3. B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engg. In association withSu-Kam, India's largest power Company which has presence in90 countries worldwide and holds a record for being the onlycompany in this filed to file for over 100 patents. As per the needof curriculum, Su-Kam shall facilitate opportunities for studentsfor industrial visits, industry integrated projects and six monthsIndustry Internship. This programme will assure placement invarious companies in India at minimum package of 3.4 La perannum or as per market norms at that time. A letter of intent shallbe given to the students at the time of admission specifying allterms and conditions to be met by the students for the assuredplacement under this programme. A letter of offer shall be givento the students who meet placement criteria within 15 days fromthe date of declaration of 8th semester results.

(i) He / She will attain the age of 17 years or more on 31-12-2017. The age shall be determined as per entry in theMatriculation / Higher Secondary or its Equivalent Certificate.

(ii) Must have passed Senior School Certificate Examination(10+2) of Board of School Education Haryana or anexamination recognized as equivalent thereto with atleast50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken togetherand must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry,Biology and English individually in qualifying examination.

(i) He / She should be NEET 2018 qualified.

SyllabusSyllabus of the subjects of study is prescribed by Dental Councilof India and approved by Academic Council of Pt. B. D. SharmaUniversity of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

University Examination1. The examination shall be held twice in a year, one regular

in the month of July/August and other supplementary in themonth of Oct/Nov without and with late fee as fixed byVice-Chancellor.

2. The date fixed for the receipt of application form and feefor examination without and with late fee, as fixed by theVice-Chancellor shall be notified by controller of examination.

BDS Examinations will be held as per the ordinance and rulesof examination laid down by Pt. B. D. Sharma University ofHealth Sciences Rohtak, Haryana.

A student who satisfy the following requirements duly certified bythe Principal (MRDC) shall be eligible to appear in the first, second,third and fourth year BDS examinations as the case may be

a) of having good character,

b) of having attended the prescribed course,

c) of having attended not less than,

i) 75% of all course of lectures delivered and

ii) 75% of full course of practical's held separately in thesubjects of study as per scheme of examination

d) of having cleared all the college fees and dues of the nextyear. (i.e. the Professional examination for which appearing).

A deficiency in the required number of lectures clinical & practicalmay be condoned by the Principal up to the extent of 5%

I. If the percentage of attendance is deficient on account of:

a) Participation in university or inter- college sportstournaments/ youth festivals with the previous sanction ofthe Head / Principal

b) Participation in inter- sports tournaments/youth festivalswith the previous sanction of the Head / Principal

II. Attendance at the NCC / NSS camps or University educationalexcursions certified by the Head / Principal.

III. Attendance at mountaineering courses by students selectedby the University / College

Credit may be given for the number of days on which lectureswere delivered or tutorials or practical work done during theperiod of attendance or participation in a aforesaid, providedthat the period of absence in the case of (i) a, (ii), and (iii) aboveshall not exceed 21 days and in case of (i) (b) 30 days in anacademic year.

A candidate who has completed the prescribed course as laiddown and is unable to appear in the examination or havingappeared has failed may be allowed to appear in subsequentexaminations, as under on payment of the prescribed fee oneach occasions, and on presenting a certificate signed by thePrincipal of Dental College in which he completed the course,that he has subsequent to his last failure attended a course oftraining / hospital practice, in the subjects of the examinationsas the Principal may determine.

Note: Each Reappearing candidate in addition to Universityexamination fee will deposits Rs 3000/- along with the applicationfrom as the charges of using the practical / clinical materialsbeing utilized in the subsequent University Examination everytime He / She re-appears for such examinations.

A person who has passed the 1st BDS examination of thisUniversity shall be eligible to join 2nd year of BDS class. However,a candidate who fails in 1st BDS examination may be allowedto attend the 2nd year of BDS class but will not be allowed toappear in the 2nd BDS examination till he passes in all thesubjects of 1st BDS examination.

A person who has passed the 2nd BDS examination of thisUniversity shall be eligible to join 3rd year of BDS class. However,a candidate who fails in 2nd BDS examination may be allowedto attend the 3rd year of BDS class but will not be allowed toappear in the 3rd BDS examination till he passes in all thesubjects of 2nd BDS examination.

A person who has passed the 3rd BDS examination of thisUniversity shall be eligible to join 4th year of BDS class. However,a candidate who fails in 3rd BDS examination may be allowedto attend the 4th year of BDS class but will not be allowed toappear in the 4th BDS examination till he passes in all thesubjects of 3rd BDS examination.

For reappearing in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Final BDS examination thecandidate will be charged Rs 3000/- per subject as the cost ofusing the college laboratories and materials for the Universitypractical examination. The amount so due will be recovered bythe college at the time of submitting the examination applicationto the University.

Any student who does not clear the BDS course in all the subjectswithin a period of 9 years including 1 year compulsory rotatarypaid internship from the date of admission shall be dischargedfrom the course.

After commencement and joining of the BDS course if a candidateleaves it before completion of full period, the Bond/Bank Guaranteefor three Year Tuition fee of the BDS degree course, furnished bythe candidate at the time of admission, will be invoked.

Admission to the BDS programmes shall be provisional subjectto final registration by the affiliating University i.e. Pt. B.D.Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

The medium of examination shall be English.

Pass PercentageThe minimum number of marks required to pass in eachexamination shall be:

a) 50% in theory including written, oral and internal assessmentof each theory subject; and

b) 50% in the practical including internal assessment of eachsubject

Grace MarksThe grace marks up to a maximum of five marks may beawarded at the discretion of the University to a student who hasfailed only in one subject but has passed in all other subjects.

Declaration of Results1. The Controller of Examinations shall publish the result of

the examination. The successful candidate of the first, second,third and final Prof. Examination will be awarded DetailedMarks Card.

2. Successful candidate who obtains 75% marks in any subjectshall be declared to have passed “With distinction” in thatsubject provided he passes in all subjects of the examinationsat one and same time.

3. BDS Degree with 'Honors' shall be awarded to acandidate who:(a) has completed the course in the minimum period; and

(b) has passed each of the first, second, third and finalexaminations in first attempt obtaining not less than 70%of the marks in each of every examination.

4. A successful candidate of the first/second/third and finalexamination shall be granted a certificate.

Migration1. Migration from one dental college to other is not a right of

a student. However, migration of students form one dentalcollege to another dental college in India may be consideredonly in exceptional cases of extreme compassionate groundsprovided following criteria are fulfilled.

2. Both the colleges, i.e. one at which the student is studyingat present and one to which migration is sought, arerecognized by dental council of India.

3. The applicant candidate should have passed Ist professionalBDS examination.

4. The applicant candidate submits his application for migration,complete in all respects, to all authorities concerned within aperiod of one month of passing (declaration of result) of thefirst professional Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) examination.

5. The applicant candidate must submit an affidavit statingthat he/she will pursue 240 days of prescribed study beforeappearing at 2nd professional BDS examination, whichshould be duly certified by the registrar of the concerneduniversity in which he/she is seeking transfer. This transferwill be applicable only after receipt of an affidavit.

Note:i) Migration is permitted only in the beginning of II year BDS

course in a recognized institution.

ii) All applicants for migration shall be referred to dental councilof India by the college authority for obtaining NOC.

iii) Council reserved the rights, not to entertain any applicationwhich is not under the prescribed compassionate grounds andalso take independent decisions where applicant has beenallowed to migrate without referring the same to the council.

BDS- Fee Structure 2018-19The candidates shall be required to deposit the following feeon the spot, at the time of physical counselling for admissionthrough Demand Draft payable in favour of Manav RachnaDental College drawn at a RBI approved Bank and payable atFaridabad. MDS CourseEligibility Criteria for Admission1. A candidate will be eligible for admission to the MDS course

if he /she:

He/ She should be NEET 2018 qualified.

(A) has passed the BDS examination from any DentalCollege/ Institution approved/ recognized by the DentalCouncil of India.

(B) has completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotatinginternship by 31.03.2018 from colleges recognized byDental Council of India for this purpose.

(C) has been registered permanently with the State DentalCouncil/ DCI at the time of admission, & Possess a certificateof good conduct from the Head of Institution last attended.

2. The candidate is also required to produce the above-mentioned certificates in original at the time of counselingwithout which the admission shall not be granted.

3. A candidate who is already admitted to a course in anyinstitution is eligible to apply for another course only afterhaving passed the first course. He/She will be required togive an undertaking to this effect. Concealment of facts willinvite disqualification.

4. After commencement and joining of the MDS course if acandidate leaves it before completion of full period, theBond/Bank Guarantee for two Year Tuition fee of the MDSdegree course, furnished by the candidate at the time ofadmission, will be invoked.

5. Candidates already in service must submit their applicationform through their employer or produce 'No ObjectionCertificate' from the employer on or before the last date ofreceipt of application form.

6. Admission to the MDS programmes shall be provisionalsubject to final registration by the affiliating University i.e.Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

Syllabus

Syllabus of subjects of studies in the specialties of MDS / P. G. Diploma course will be as prescribed by Dental Council of India andApproved by Academic council of Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

Probation Period(i) A report on every student shall be obtained from his/her Supervisor (Countersigned by the Dean) four to six months after the start

of the course regarding his/her satisfactory participation /work in the course. The admission is liable to be cancelled if the reportis unsatisfactory.

(ii) On completion of the probation period each candidate will be re-assessed. In case his/her performance is satisfactory the admissionshall be regularized. However, if his/her performance is unsatisfactory, the admission will be cancelled.

Fee Refund Policy1. The candidates shall be required to deposit the fee as

approved by the State Fee Committee immediately after thephysical counselling.

2. Fee mentioned against the head 'University Fee' is the feecharged by the Affiliating University. Any modification in thishead or Additional fee / any other fee chargeable by theUniversity from the students admitted in the College shallbe charged extra on actual basis.

3. Withdrawal from the Course after the commencement of theAcademic Session: Those candidates who withdraw theiradmission before the start of classes to be notified separatelyon the College website (www.mrdc.ac.in) / Notice Boards,in writing to the Principal after having the receipt of thewithdrawal application would be refunded the fees after thefinal cut off date of admissions as notified by the State Govt./DCI/ Affiliating University through cheque after deductingRs. 25000/- (for BDS)/ Rs. 50000/- (for MDS) as administrativecharges. Refund of fee shall be made after the final cut offdate of admissions as notified by the State Govt./ DCI/Affiliating University, which shall be normally 31st May (forMDS)/ 30th September (for BDS) of the calendar year, throughCheque in favour of the Candidate only and sent at theaddress for correspondence through recorded delivery.

4. It is made clear that no refund of fee shall be made afterthe commencement of classes, even if the fresh admissioncontinues against the vacant / dropout seats. It is, further,made clear that if candidate seeks admission after thecommencement of the classes and later, withdraws his / heradmission, no refund of fee in such case shall be made.

5. A student admitted in the College shall be required to payfee for the entire duration of the course on annual basis. Ifa student is detained due to whatsoever reason, he / sheshall be required to pay the fees again, when he / she isreadmitted. It is made clear that if a student leaves theprogramme in between, without completing theprogramme for whatsoever reasons, he / she will beliable to pay fees for the balance duration of theprogramme as well, as per directions of Hon'ble SupremeCourt of India in Islamic Academy of Education case.

PHYSICAL COUNSELING FOR ADMISSION

• It is absolutely mandatory for the candidates to appear inperson for physical counseling for admission before theAdmission Committee. No relaxation of any kind ispermissible in this regard.

• Candidate must bring the following documents in originalalong with two sets of Attested photocopies:

1. Secondary School Examination Certificate (10th) - as proofof Date of Birth

2. Senior Secondary School Examination Certificate (10+2)

3. Detailed Mark sheets / Provisional Certificate / Degree /Diploma Certificate of the qualifying examination.

4. Character Certificate from the Institution last attended.

5. Result card of the NEET entrance examination.

6. 4 passport size coloured photographs in formal dress.

All other documents must be submitted during orientation afterstart of classes or within 3 days from the date of admission,whichever is later.

• On the day of physical counseling, candidates shall report

on the Registration Desk, arrange documents in the specified

sequence in the file cover given on the spot, appear before

the Document Verification Committee for verification of

documents and move to the Admission Committee if found

eligible.

• Admission committee shall allot the seats to the Candidates

in order of merit subject to its availability and the candidates

shall be required to deposit fee on the spot either through

Demand Draft, Credit / Debit Card or in Cash. Cheques

shall not be accepted. Additional convenience charges are

payable as per rules in case of payment is made through

Credit / Debit Card.

• The seat shall be deemed to be allotted only on submission

of fee. If a candidate fails to deposit the fee on the spot, the

right to admission shall be forfeited and the seat shall be

offered to the candidate next in the merit list.

• If a candidate reports late for admission on the designated

day and time, he / she will be offered the seat available at

the time of his appearance before the Admission Committee.

• All Candidates are advised to report on the day of physical

counseling in a formal and presentable dress as a fresh

photograph may be required to be clicked on the spot.

• All Students admitted in various programs shall collect their

original testimonials / certificates at the time of allotment

of seat against acknowledgement. All such students are also

advised to keep a watch on MRDC Website for further

instructions if any.

• The Admission Committee shall ensure allotment of seats

purely on merit. Canvassing of any kind may result in denial

of admission.

AFTER ADMISSION

In addition to the documents mentioned under clause 4 above,

all students will be required to deposit following documents

either during the orientation program or within 3 days from the

date of admission whichever is later:

6. General Instructions

• The student would be liable for necessary action as deemedfit by the MRDC for any wrong information filled in theapplication form. If a candidate is admitted on the basis ofinformation submitted by him/her, which is found to beincorrect or false on a later date, his / her admission shallbe cancelled and all fees and other dues paid by him/hershall be forfeited. The University may also take further actionas deemed fit against such candidate and / or his / herparents / guardians as considered suitable.

• All fees through Demand Draft are payable in the name of'Manav Rachna Dental College' only.

• Mere inclusion of the name of a candidate in the merit listwould not ensure his / her admission. Candidate would berequired to prove his / her eligibility for admission byproviding original and genuine documents in support of theclaims made.

• The admission made by MRDC shall be provisional, till thesame is confirmed by the Registration Branch of the AffiliatingUniversity.

• If the College Authorities are not satisfied with the character,past behaviour and antecedents of a candidate, they mayrefuse to admit him/her in the College. In order to ensureacademic standards, discipline and congenial atmospherein the College, the Principal of the College may cancel theadmission of any student who is found to be involved inactivities which are prejudicial to maintaining harmony onthe campus.

• The College has a streamlined method of redressal ofgrievances. The Grievances Redressal Committee addressesall kinds of grievances including those pertaining toadmissions, examinations, conduct on the campus etc. ontop priority.

• The College has a Vishakha Committee to deal with allSexual Harassment related issues, which are handled onutmost priority. The candidates who are admitted in theCollege would be required to follow all rules and regulationsin letter and spirit, conduct themselves in an orderly mannerand maintain the best decorum, failing which suitable penalaction would be taken against them.

• Canvassing in any form for influencing the admission byany candidate and / or his / her parents/ guardians wouldresult in his/ her summary rejection for admission.

• The admission procedure is subject to modification, withoutnotice, as per directions of DCI/ State Govt./ AffiliatingUniversity or any competent authority.

• The final cut off date for admission to all the courses is 31stMay 2018 for MDS and 30th September 2018 for BDScourse, as per guidelines of DCI.

• All applicants are instructed to follow the MRDC website ona regular basis for date of counseling and other detailsrelated to the admission process.

• The contents of the Admission Brochure are subject to changewithout prior notice. All disputes pertaining to admissionunder the domain of Admission Brochure are subject to thejurisdiction of Courts at Faridabad only

• The cost of Registration form will not be refunded under anycircumstance.

• The candidate is admitted on the basis of informationsubmitted by him/her and if, at any subsequent stage, it isdiscovered that any portion of this information is incorrect,the student will be removed from the Institution and all feesand other dues paid / liable to be paid up till the date ofsuch removal shall be forfeited / charged. Any further action,as deemed suitable, may also be taken by the institutionagainst such student.

• In case of any ambiguity in the rules, the interpretation ofthe same as drawn by the Director-Principal, MRDC.

• A student who violates the above conditions willfully orotherwise shall be liable to expulsion.

• Instructions/direction to modify / change the condition (s)can be issued by the MRDC prior to counseling with theprior approval of the competent authority.

• The candidates placed in the merit list provisionally mustproduce all the documents in original along with theirattested copies at the time of counseling.

• The Admission Committee shall have the power to call anydocument from the candidate in support of his / her claimand reject any certificate not considered valid.

• The decision of the Admission Committee in this regardshall be final.

• All admissions are subject to their approval by the Pt. B. D.Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, after completingnecessary requirements as per rules/ ordinance.

• A candidate already admitted in any Dental College in BDS/MDS course will not be considered eligible for admission toBDS / MDS course

• It is clarified that BDS / MDS course is a regular full timecourse. A candidate selected for the same is barred fromprivate practice during the tenure of the course.

• The selection for admission will be treated as cancelled, ifthe selected candidate does not join the college on thestipulated date fixed by the Admission Committee.

• If any candidate or his / her parents or guardian are foundto have submitted any false undertaking / affidavit / certificate,not only the candidate's admission will be cancelled but theperson filing the undertaking / affidavit will also be liableto be prosecuted in accordance with law.

• On the failure of the selected candidate to report foradmission, the vacancies caused would be filled from thecandidates from the waiting list in the order of merit inNEETand seats remaining vacant on the basis of merit inqualifying exam.

7. Instructions for Curbing Ragging:Ragging in an educational Institution is banned and any oneindulging in ragging is likely to be punished appropriately, whichmay include expulsion from the Institution, suspension from theInstitution or classes for a limited period or fine with a publicapology. The punishment may also take the shape of(i) withholding scholarships or other benefits, (ii) debarring fromrepresentation in events, (iii) withholding results, (iv) suspensionor expulsion from hostel or mess, and the like. If the individualscommitting or abetting ragging are not / can not be identified,collective punishment can be awarded to act as a deterrent.

The following will be termed as the act of ragging:Any conduct whether by words spoken or written or by any act,which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudenessany other student(s), indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activitieswhich causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship orpsychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereofin a fresher or junior student (s) will not do in the ordinary courseand which has the effect of causing or generating a sense ofshame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physiqueof a fresher or a junior student.Moreover, DCI has take a very serious view of incidents ofragging in Dental Colleges and directed to incorporate thefollowing provision in the Admission Brochure vide their letterno. DE-167-2008/a-3441 dated 29.07.2008:“If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority,the concerned students shall be given liberty to explain and ifhis explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority wouldexpel him from the institutions”.The candidates who are admitted in the College would be requiredto follow all rules and regulations in letter and spirit, conductthemselves in an orderly manner and maintain the best decorum,failing which suitable penal action would be taken against them.

Merit list generated onthe basis of NEET score and accordingly seats are allotted. It isadvised to kindly follow the website for any change of rules &regulations with respect to counseling. The candidate called forthe counseling will be required to produce all the originaldocuments/certificates/marks sheets etc. at the time of counseling.Under no circumstances, will any relaxation be allowed to thecandidates as regards appearing in person before the board onthe fixed date and time and producing the requisite originaldocuments/certificates/ marksheets. The candidates will be calledfor the counseling before the Admission Committee accordingto their respective merit and will be entitled to exercise their choiceregarding subject according to the availability of the seat(s) attheir respective merit at the time of counseling. The admissionswill close on as per the mandate of the Supreme Court of India.Note: If two or more candidates secure identical marks in themerit list of NEET, their relative merit will be determined as perthe procedures laid down by the competent admission authority.

9. Other Conditions for MDS CourseOn receiving unsatisfactory report about any student from his/her Supervisor and the Head of Department during the course,the admission is liable to be cancelled.

Admission will also be subject to the following conditions:1. Students coming from universities other than Pt. B.D. Sharma

University of Health Sciences, Rohtak will be required todeposit migration certificate and all other original certificatesimmediately after the start of the session.

2. Candidates admitted to the MDS course will be required tosubmit synopsis of research work to be undertaken by themto the concerned post - graduate Board of Studies within sixmonths of their joining. The period of six months may berelaxed in exceptional cases, for which the candidates will haveto apply to the concerned Board of Studies, along with therecommendations of the supervisor and head of the department.The students must submit their final thesis at least six monthsbefore the theory and clinical / practical examination. Relaxationup to one month may be given in exceptional cases.

3. The candidates will be required to pay the fees and other duesetc. as prescribed form time to time, by a prescribed date.

4. A candidate can be fined, suspended or expelled from theCollege/Hostel by the Principal / Director for reason likeindiscipline, misconduct, absence from classes / academicduties, non - payment of College / hostel dues in time anduse of unauthorized electrical / electronic appliances etc. Thequantum of punishment, mode of enquiry etc. will be decidedby the concerned Principal / Director / head of the Department.

5. No candidate, after joining the P.G. course, will be allowedto apply for/ accept any appointment (including seniorresidency/ Demonstrator-ship) till the completion of the course.

6. If a student absents himself / herself from duty, intimationto the effect will be sent by the concerned Head of the Dept.to the Principal / Director within 48 hrs. If the period ofabsence exceeds 2 days, the Head of the Department/ Unit,shall not allow any such student to join his / her duty withoutprior permission of the Director / Principal.

7. The candidates selected for the admission to the P.G. Degreecourse will be required to give an affidavit to the effect thatthey are not undergoing any training at any other Institutionand will not appear in other All India Entrance Examination.

8. If a student remains absent continuously for two weeks ortotal of six weeks in one year (without getting leavesanctioned), his/ her Admission shall stand cancelled. Forreasons like illness, certificate (up to for four weeks continuousor with breaks) issued only by the Director, P.G. Studies/Principal will be accepted. If a candidate leaves the stationwith permission and falls ill, certificate on simple OPD cardor prescription slip will not be treated as Medical Certificate.For Medical leave beyond four weeks, the candidate willhave to apply and appear before a medical Board to beconstituted by the Principal. Only a medical certificate issuedby a medical Board will be accepted. However, the periodof such leave sanctioned will have to be compensated byundergoing training for the extended period equal to theperiod of leave availed before appearing in the examination.If a candidate fails to appear before the medical Board,his/ her admission shall be cancelled without any furthernotice. Further, if a candidate leaves the country duringhis/her course without permission of the competent Authority,his/her admission shall be cancelled without any notice.

9. In case a female student avails maternity leave during thecourse, the same will be allowed as per the DCI instructions.

Bank Guarantee BondEach candidate will be required to execute a bank guarantee/ bond as per notification issued by Govt. of Haryana as laiddown in the Pt. B D Sharma university of health Sciencesprospectus.

Prescribed Medical Standards for AdmissionDental profession demands good physique and stamina. An applicant who suffers from any organic defect or does not have soundhealth so as to bear the strain of the course which must be heightened in his/her professional life would be well advised not to take

up the dental Profession. He/ She must fulfill the following medical standards.

Height : Not less than 1.5 meter for male candidates, and not less than 1.2 meter for female candidates.

Weight : 50 Kg. Approximately for male candidates and 40 kg. Approximately for female candidates

Chest measurement : Not less than 69 cms with satisfactory limit of expansion and contraction for male candidates only.

Heart & Lungs : No abnormality.

Harnia, Hydrocele : Presence of these is a temporary disqualification to be & rectified before joining the course of study

Vision : Normal, where defective, it should be corrected to 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse eye.

Eye should be free from congenital and other disease.

Hearing : Normal, where defective, it must be corrected.
