Children Birth-Grade 5Launch a love of reading this summer by exploring a universe of stories and activities! Report back often for chances to win special prizes. Children in grades K-5 who complete their reading mission will earn the chance to spend a day at Vanderbilt Planetarium on Thursday, August 22. Younger readers Birth-Pre-K who complete their mission will be invited to a special Over the Moon Party on Tuesday, August 20.

Have you seen Crayons Won’t Quit boxes around town? As Ambassadors for Crayon Collection, local libraries, schools and restaurants are collecting gently used crayons that would otherwise be discarded in landfills. All the crayons will be recycled during a Color Kindness Event happening at Bellport Children’s Festival. Drop in to help us bundle about 10-12 crayons in a rainbow of colors into a small pouch and include a hand-written note of positivity.
