SEARCH AND SELECTION METHODOLOGY
Brunel has developed a very extensive network of candidates within the Global
Subsea Industry – with specific focus on the Asia Pacific region.
We are in constant contact with highly qualified Subsea professionals and make it
a point to meet candidates within in our region.
We are continually working to further grow our pool of Professionals within the
APAC region.
If local candidates are working beyond the APAC region, arrangements can be
made for counterparts from our offices in Europe or the USA to meet with them to
conduct any pre-screening interviews.
Brunel is proposing to use the following 4 processes in our search and
selection of candidates:

1. ATTRACTION PROCESS
How we will obtain the most suitable candidates:
• Utilize Brunel’s Global network and database

• Utilize referrals from ‘gold’ candidates:

• Actively utilize job boards & broadsheet advertising:
Upstream; Oil Careers; RigZone; Oil & Gas Job Search
• Headhunting from the Industry’s biggest players:
Acergy, Aker, Azura Energy Systems, FMC Kongsberg,
FMC Technologies, VetCoGray, JP Kenny, J. Ray McDermott,
IntecSea, Genesis, Noble, Petrofac, Weatherford & Schlumberger
2. QUALIFICATION PROCESS
Subsea Division
• We have set-up a division and dedicated it specifically to handling
all our clients Subsea staffing requirements.
Specialized Recruiter
• Our in-house Subsea Recruitment Specialist will conduct the initial
screening of CVs.
• All screened candidates will be interviewed by our Specialist.
• CVs of candidates with positive interview results will be validated
before being forwarded to the client.
3. VALIDATION PROCESS
Background Checks
• Candidates need to submit at least 2 references of managers that they
worked for.
• All these managers will be contacted.
• 360 degree review:
Additional reference from reports and peers in case
of a position where managerial skills are involved.
Educational Verification
• If so required, Brunel can provide an additional service to
confirm the authenticity of candidates’ certification.
4. REPORTING PROCESS
Submissions
• CVs submitted will accurately detail candidate information in relation to
location, remuneration, brief work history and interview availability.
Client Reporting
• The Client can expect a weekly progress report from the corresponding
Brunel Account Manager.
• These reports will highlight statistics like:
- no. of CVs submitted
- no. of interviews scheduled
- no. of submitted CVs pending approval
- no. of interviews conducted pending outcome
- any additional information required from our candidates
PROPOSED SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURE
We recognize that the availability and assignment of suitably qualified and experienced personnel
is crucial to the success of the Client.
As such we are proposing a dedicated Account Manager to work above the Subsea Recruitment
Specialist, and in overall charge of the search & selection process prior to submittal to HR and
relevant Line Managers.
This dedicated Account Manager can be the liaison between the Client’s HR, Line Managers, and
our Subsea Specialist.
