Kinder School students, ages 4-7, learn the basicsof skiing as they receive their first lessons.

Whether you are a dinosaur,old person, kid, or kid atheart, flailing down a hill

with reckless abandon, or thepanache of an experienced skier, theslopes at Bryce are the place to be.The entire family can enjoy 8 beauti-fully-groomed ski slopes, appropriatefor all levels of skiers and snowboard-ers. In 2010, The Horst Locher Ski

School expanded their Little Niparea, offering a new carpet lift andrevamped slope. Kids are greeted by agentle giraffe and enter through a funtunnel. For 2011-12 beginning skiersof all ages will be impressed with thenew bunny slope and enclosed carpetlift. Skiers can hone their skills at thenationally-known Horst Locher SkiSchool or enroll their children in the

Kinder School & Ride programs.These programs cater to children ages4 to 7 years of age. In Kinder Schoolchildren learn the basics of skiing.

The Ride pro-gram teacheskids age 6-7 basicsnowboardingskills. Both arehalf-day sessionstaught by experi-enced instruc-tors. Class sizefor KinderSchool rangefrom 2 to 8 chil-dren per instruc-tor. Ride classeshave a maximumsize of 5 students.There are alsoskill improve-ment lessons foradult boardersand skiers, adultracing clinics,weekend moun-tain adventureswith JuniorSuperstars, and of course, NASTARracing events. Slopes with 1/3 of theruns designated as beginner, 1/3 asintermediate, and 1/3 as advanced,give Bryce a distinct advantage over

other ski resorts in the area. Our fam-ily-friendly slopes can accommodateeveryone, at all levels. Next year already proves to be an

exciting one. In 2012-13 our skierswill load in a new lift concourse area

and travel up the slopes in a brandnew Quad lift, making for an effi-cient, and safer process and the abili-ty to move more skiers to alleviatelines and log jams at the lifts. When you think of reallygood food – comfort foodwith a flair that will satisfy

even the most particular palate –Bryce Resort is the perfect place tobring the entire family for lunch ordinner in the Copper Kettle, or createspecial memories with a romanticdinner for two in the Restaurant @Bryce. Both areas createan atmosphere that youwill want to experienceagain and again. What makes the food

service stand out is thatthe kitchen at BryceResort is a “90% scratchkitchen”. What does thatmean? Well, that meansyou will be getting incred-ible food that is prepared in ourkitchen rather than pre-made itemsfrom food purveyors. We specialize inlocal, all natural, hormone-free beef,free-range chicken – some is organic– wild-caught sea food (nothingfarmed), local pork, and in season,local fruits and vegetables. Try ourslow-cooked, mouth-watering pulledpork (over 10-hours of roasting), orour tantalizing barbecue ribs, or thebest burgers around – made with pure,

natural, locally-grown beef. Our baroffers an amazing array of domesticand imported beers, and a compre-hensive wine list with selections fromaround the world and local Virginiawines. Menus are seasonal, so you willbe getting the freshest food available. The Copper Kettle is a casual space

appointed with antique sports equip-ment and game boards,ski posters and paintings,and a huge fireplace thatentices you to sit and siphot chocolate. For thesports enthusiast there isan 84-inch large screenTV as well as 8 other tele-visions for viewing yourfavorite sporting events.And Texas Hold ‘Em
