A complete system solution for forensic DNA databasing By leveraging state of-the-art PCR amplifica-tion technology, the AmpFℓSTR® Identifiler® Direct PCR Amplification Kit is designed to amplify the 16 loci included in the Identifiler® kit from single-source samples spotted on FTA® Cards, without the need to perform any DNA extraction or purification. Blood or buccal samples on FTA® Cards can be punched directly into PCR plates or tubes for PCR amplification, with no reduction in data quality (Figure 3).

When BSD Punching Systems are paired with the AmpFℓSTR® Identifiler® Direct Kit, this complete system solution can help laboratories worldwide meet the increasing challenges of developing or expanding a forensic DNA database.
