Chairman and CEO JK Bank Mushtaq Ahmad speaking on the occasion said the bank during 2013- 14, continued with its rapid expansion of multi-delivery channels. He said the bank added a total of 92 business units to increase our business unit network to 777 at the end of March 2014. Similarly, we added 187 new ATMs to take our total ATM network to 800 as on 31st March 2014”, he added. Laying special emphasis on the bank’s vision of inclusive growth and comprehensive development, he said, “As a developmental institution, J&K Bank remains central to the prosperity of J&K State and lays high emphasis on inclusive growth involving the weakest sections of the society.” “Commitment to Cor- porate Social Responsibil- ity (CSR) remains one of our core values. Under CSR pro- gramme the bank will expand its activities”, he added. After the address, Com- pany Secretary Abdul Majid Bhat read out the auditors' report and business agenda of the meeting. Notably, due to some recent regulatory changes made in the procedural norms, approval from the share hold- ers for resolutions was sought through e-voting. The process of e-voting through ballot was completed on 29th July, 2014, in which more than 75 lakh votes were cast. Razdan on the occasion thanked the management and the staff of the bank for “providing full support to run the bank during his tenure as chairman.” Raghuram Rajan meets FinMin ahead of monetary policy review PRESS TRUST OF INDIA New Delhi, Aug 2:Days ahead of bi-monthly monetary policy review, Reserve Bank Gover- nor Raghuram Rajan today met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to discuss economic issues. "I caught up on economic issues with the Finance Min- ister," Rajan said after the meeting here. The RBI is scheduled to announce its third bi-monthly Monetary Policy Review on August 5. When asked about stock markets plunging today, Rajan said: "We are not immune to what is happening in world markets." The BSE benchmark index Sensex today plummeted by 414.13 points to end the day at 25,480.84 points. There is a widespread expectation that the RBI is likely to maintain status quo in the policy review. However, the industry is pitching for the rate cut to boost industrial activities. Exhibiting signs of revival, India's manufacturing activ- ity, gauged by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), had risen to 19-month high of 4.7 per cent in May on account of improved output from mining, power and capital goods sector. Besides improved industri- al activity, retail inflation fell to a 30-month low of 7.31 per cent in June as prices of food items, including vegetables, came down. Wholesale Price Index (WPI) based inflation in June fell to 5.43 per cent after rising to a five-month high in the pre- vious month. In its last policy review in June, the RBI had kept the repo rate--at which it lends to the banks-- unchanged at 8 per cent. Chairman and CEO JK Bank Mushtaq Ahmad speaking on the occasion said the bank during 2013-14, continued with its rapid expansion of multi-delivery channels.

He said the bank added a total of 92 business units to increase our business unit network to 777 at the end of March 2014. Similarly, we added 187 new ATMs to take our total ATM network to 800 as on 31st March 2014”, he added.
