Welcome to Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU), Beijing, China. BTBU is one of the earliest universities in the People’s Republic of China. As a public university, we have a proud tradition of excellence in learning and teaching, research and social service.

Founded in 1950, as one of the earliest universities of P. R. China, Beijing Technology and Business University(BTBU) has a long-standing reputation of excellence in China.

Research

Research is one of the key responsiblities of BTBU faculty. The University

has been commissioned by the government to develop several strategic

research topics over a number of years, including:

BTBU is a member of several important networks in a variety of academic

University’s fundamental tasks is to cooperate with the local community. It

International students who wish to study at BTBU could apply Chinese Government Scholarship or Beijing Government Scholarship. We are ready to welcome international students to come to BTBU from all of the

world.

Chinese Government Scholarship

In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in politics, economy, culture, education, and trade between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and research in Chinese universities. China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as MOE), is responsible for the enrollment and administration of Chinese Government Scholarship programs. Academic programs of Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Economics, Law, Management, Education, History, Literature, Philosophy and Arts in designated Chinese universities are available to scholarship winners.

BTBU is one of the eligible universities who can accept Chinese Government Scholarship Winners. If applicants are qualified, please apply to win the scholarship.

Beijing Government Scholarship

Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) is awarded to international students who are admitted by universities in Beijing, covering the tuition fees for exchange students, Chinese language students, undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctoral students. BGS can be varied in amount from 5,000RMB /person/year to 30,000RMB /person/year.

BTBU is one of the eligible universities who can accept BGS winners. We welcome applicants to apply the scholarship.

BTBU-OXFORD PROGRAMS

BTBU and Hertford College, Oxford University has a long-term relationship since 2006. BTBU-Oxford Program is a short-term program designed for BTBU students and teachers providing some courses and seminars in different areas like higher education research, teaching skills, Business, English Language and Culture, etc. Participants will have several weeks of intensive study on Oxford campus and city tours.

BTBU-UCC JOINT DEGREE PROGRAMS

BTBU and University College Cork (UCC) are long-standing partner universities. We developed the joint bachelor degree programs in Applied Statistics (Risk and Actuarial Studies) and Food Science and Engineering which have been approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

International students will never get bored living at Beijing Technology and Business University. The University organizes various of out door activities every semester, such as the Great Wall Visit, the Forbidden City Visit, the Capital Museum Visit, famous enterprises visits, Football Game, Entertaining Sports Meeting, etc.. Besides, BTBU provides series Chinese Culture Experience Classes including the Chinese Ink Painting Class, the Kongfu Class, the Chinese Medicine Class etc.. Moreover, BTBU offers opportunities for international students to join the activities provided by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, Beijing NGO Association for International Exchange, and other international-related organizations, such as the Chinese Cooking Course, the Chinese Tea Art Courses, the Chinese Opera Shows and so on.

Orientation and advising sessions help international students to adapt to life in the University. Additionally, BTBU Volunteer Association of International Cooperation and Exchange (VAICE) provides assistance for international students. The Association’s Buddy Program allow every international student to have a mentor to learn from and resort to, and you are also welcomed to join VAICE as volunteers. In VAICE, You will have opportunities to make contribution to the university’s internationalization, cooperate closely with Chinese students, and gain special voluntary working experience at BTBU.

On our downtown campus, there are two well-equipped residential halls with about 300 beds for BTBU international students and foreign guests. Each room in the halls is equipped with LCD TV, air conditioner, electronic kettle, suite shower, toi let faci l i t ies, wardrobe and internet service. There are also communal kitchen, laundry facilities and other necessities for public use. International students could apply for accommodation once they have BTBU’s unconditional firm offers. The campus is located in the central part of Beijing city with easy and convenient transportation for students to travel around Beijing from here or find out a private rented accommodation out of campus.

There are several canteens including one Muslim canteen on campus providing the students with various kinds of food and dishes with different flavors. Moreover, there are KFC, MacDonald, coffee shops, some Chinese restaurants, supermarkets, Shopping Mall and Capitals around the campus.
