In world religions courses, played role of Emperor Akbar (with royal

turban and cape), the Mughal king in India who invited religious sages tohis court, and staged debates on classic existential questions.

Students would impersonate great religious scholars of history andpresent the perspectives of world religions on perennial as well ascontemporary issues.

Appointed a court jester to begin each session with religious jokes. Had students dramatize parables from world religions through in-class

skits or homemade videos.
