Writing a Prospectus Monday, April 20, 5:15-6:15 pm We’ll review the expectations for a research prospectus and present strategies for effective organization and development. Source-ery: Incorporating Research Monday, May 4, 5:15-6:15 pm We’ll address appropriate use of source materials and provide strategies for introducing, presenting, and attributing evidence. All Writing Center workshops take place in 125 Mandeville. Prior online registration is required at writingcenter.ucsd.edu. Follow the link that says “Register for Workshops,” select Workshop Schedule Spring 2015 from the drop-down calendar menu, find the date of the workshop you want to attend, and click on the box at the beginning of the workshop hour. The Writing Center also offers one-on-one sessions with peer mentors who can help at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to final polishing. Research Topics and Questions Monday, April 13, 5:15-6:15 pm

We’ll address the challenge of developing a focused research topic and we’ll discuss how to use a research question to set a clear direction.
