RTO 40053 BUILD YOUR CAREER Construction Course FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways Course Overview This course is a perfect foot in the door for people looking to start work in the construction industry. You will learn new skills and put them into practice. This course is a combination of classroom learning and practical construction work. Program Details This course aims to provide skills and training to prepare participants for job opportunities with builders and contractors used by Housing SA. On the job training at a real construction site gives you valuable work experience to add to your resume. Our qualified Trainers will support you with all of the theory components. Learner support staff will be available to help you with any challenges affecting your study. Cost This course is funded by the Government of South Australia. A co-contribution of $195 (incl. GST) is required for Personal Protective Equipment and drug and alcohol testing. This might be covered through your jobactive or DES provider. Contact them to discuss. You will also need a White Card to start this course. See reverse. Delivery Next course starts 17th August 2020. This course is delivered full time for ten weeks. There will be some at-home learning with support from qualified trainers. You will need access to a computer and an internet connection. Location Classroom learning with take place Tuesday to Friday at SYC, 135-139 Currie Street, Adelaide. On-the-job construction training takes place on Mondays at a Housing SA property in Brompton.

PrerequisitesSYC will deliver White Card training prior to the commencement of the course for $120 (incl. GST). Please request at registration. This may be covered by your jobactive or DES provider, contact them to discuss.

EligibilityThis course is subsidised by the Government of South Australia. To access subsidised training, your suitability to complete the qualification will be assessed.There will be random drug and alcohol testing within the course.
