Each year, approximately 400 students make the journeys to countries including Italy, Ireland, Spain, Costa Rica, Greece and the United Kingdom.

APPLICATION DEADLINESFor August enrollment, students should apply early in the preceding academic year and no later than May 1. For January enrollment, the deadline is October 1.
There are more than 160 student clubs and organizations on campus with a variety of focuses, including culture, academics, performing arts, journalism, sororities/fraternities, and governance to name a few. Global Advocacy ProgramAs part of the Global Scholars Program, students will engage in and outside of the classroom on issues of global advocacy.
Tutoring CenterAt SRU, highly-qualified students from various academic departments are available to offer free, individual tutoring to students enrolled in any of the more than 90 introductory courses.
Academic AdvisementOnce enrolled, students can expect timely communications from an international student adviser who will create a first semester class schedule and assist with orientation.
Thereafter, students are assigned a faculty adviser within their academic department.
Students with Special NeedsThe Office of Disability Services will enhance the campus experience for students with disabilities by creating equal access inside the classroom setting.
Student Counseling CenterThe Student Counseling Center strives to facilitate the total development of students by reducing psychological problems and distress by enhancing mental health, wellbeing, quality of life and supporting your aspirations. All services are free and confidential.
Health ServicesThe McLachlan Student Health Center is available to students 24/7 during the academic year. Free emergency transportation is provided to nearby hospitals when necessary.

SCHOLARSHIPSOut-of-state tuition reduction – $3,500Requirement to maintain award: 2.5 GPA or higher.
Provost Scholarship for Global Diversity and Academic Achievement – $1,500Requirement to maintain award: 3.0 GPA or higher.
Presidential Award for Academic Excellence – $500Requirement to maintain award: 3.5 GPA or higher. Only available during second year of study and onward.
Honors College – $6,000 ($1,500 annual increments)Admissions criteria includes online application, one- to two-page essay, resume of extracurricular activities, SAT 1280 or ACT 27, and high school GPA of 3.8 or higher. Scholarships are available to incoming freshmen, but are limited.Additional scholarships are available by application after the first year of study. SCHOLARSHIPSOut-of-state tuition reduction – $3,500Requirement to maintain award: 2.5 GPA or higher.
Provost Scholarship for Global Diversity and Academic Achievement – $1,500Requirement to maintain award: 3.0 GPA or higher.
Presidential Award for Academic Excellence – $500Requirement to maintain award: 3.5 GPA or higher. Only available during second year of study and onward.
Honors College – $6,000 ($1,500 annual increments)Admissions criteria includes online application, one- to two-page essay, resume of extracurricular activities, SAT 1280 or ACT 27, and high school GPA of 3.8 or higher. Scholarships are available to incoming freshmen, but are limited.Additional scholarships are available by application after the first year of study.
