HOME GYM PLANS

BUILD YOUR OWN HOME MUTLI GYM

INTRODUCTION In this hustle and hurry world we live in who has time to go to the gym? First there is the job, then the kids, PTA, and those night classes you're taking to keep up to speed in your career. That hardly leaves any time for your personal fitness and well being. Granted, we all know that we are supposed to exercise in order to live longer and healthier. No one will argue that exercise makes you feel stronger, both mentally and physically, but how can a hard working, over scheduled individual make it happen? The answer to this question is easier and closer than one might think. The home gym is quickly becoming the solution many have been looking for. Not only is it affordable, but there is no commute involved. No one cares if you just got up and didn't comb your hair and you can do it when you want to. For those of us not in the best of shape it can be pretty daunting to walk into the gym. We tend to think that everyone knows what he or she is doing and we don't. This is rarely the case, but why agonize over it if you can do what you need to do in the privacy of your own home? Why pay costly health club memberships when you can get a total body workout in your home? Inspect the following plan carefully, this will help you familiarize yourself and will help make the construction easier.

BUILD YOUR OWN HOME MULTI GYM Thanks for making the right decision! Study the plans carefully before you actually begin construction. The bill of materials with each set of plans tells you exactly how many, and what size pieces there are. The lumber and materials can be purchased at any building supply store or lumberyard. All lumber used in this plan are “STOCK” sizes and only need to be cut to the appropriate length. Check with different building supply outlets / lumber and industrial outlets for the availability of STOCK lumber sizes and steel threaded rod and pipes. The industrial supply outlets normally cut the steel threaded rod for a small fee or you can do it yourself.

BASIC ASSEMBLY

o Place sidepieces into notches of top and bottom pieces by use of glue and tighten using 6” bolts, washers and nuts.

o Install the threaded steel rod to bottom, topsides and crosspiece. o Install the rest of the hardware and the stabilizers using glue and allow it to dry for

at least 24hrs for best results. o After successful assembly, apply wood filler to splits and sand all surfaces for

smoothness. o Use minimum three coats of paint on all wood surfaces. o For extra comfort, padding may be added to the surfaces of the seats and inclines.

This can be economically done by cutting cloth or cotton padding to the desired shape and covering the padding with plastic or strong cloth.

SAFETY PREACUTIONS

o All bars and pipes should have dumbbell or barbell collars to avoid sliding during use of the equipment.

o Inspect equipment before each use for cracks, loose bolts, nuts and cable clips. o Check all cables and pulleys for wear and replace when necessary. o Tape all cable ends. o Use poundage that you can handle comfortably to prevent injury to self and the

equipment. o Maximum poundage for bench press & squat is 450 pounds. The cable row

attachment’s limit is 200 pounds. DISCLAIMER

o The plan is designed with safety as the prime objective. o Any change(s) to this plan is the sole responsibility of the user. o The equipment should be used for its intended purpose(s) only. o Do not exceed the recommended poundage. o Check the equipment before every use. o Children should be strictly prohibited from using this equipment o Injuries arising from the use of the equipment will not be attributed to the designer

of the plan. o Information provided above is subject to change without prior intimation and does
