BETWEEN THE CASHTON SCHOOL DISTRICT AND

THE VILLAGE OF CASHTONRE: PURCHASE OF DIRECTOR OF ACTIVITIES AND WELLNESS.

This is an Agreement by and among the School Board of the Cashton School District and the Village of Cashton. The School Board of the Cashton School District has agreed to allow the Village of Cashton to purchase director of activities and wellness services from the Cashton School District, as set forth below, pursuant to Section 66.0301 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Each participating governmental entity, pursuant to Section 66.0301, Wis. Stat., and a resolution authorizing participation adopted by its school board and village board, agrees to the following: I. Purpose The participating governmental entities intend to allow the Village of Cashton to purchase director of activities and wellness services from the Cashton School District. II. Plan of OperationA. Description of Duties: The Director of Activities and Wellness Services under contract with the Cashton School District will perform duties related to the provision and coordination of activities and wellness services, as set forth in the administrative contract dated, for both the Village of Cashton and the Cashton School District. The Director of Activities and Wellness Services employment contract year, shall be considered as twelve months running from July 1, to June 30, and shall contain two hundred and sixty (260) working days.

July 18th 11:15am-3:45pm Youth Outdoor Fest at Pettibone Park, La CrosseThis free fest will be an activity-filled day designated for families. There will be demonstrations, entertainment, hand-outs, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, and hiking. Families are encouraged to pack a picnic or bring lunch money to purchase drinks and chips in addition to a free hot dog provided by the fest. The bus will leave from Cashton Park at 11:15am and return approximately 3:45pmJuly 29th 6:30pm-10:00pm Music in the Park at Riverside Park, La CrosseA concert titled, Tribute to Sousa, conducted by Tammy Fisher will be preformed, starting at 7:30pm. In addition to the free music concert, families can take a stroll through the Rotary International Gardens and enjoy sitting along the Mississippi river. If it is raining the concert will be held at Lincoln Middle School. The bus will leave from Cashton Park at 6:30pm and will return immediately following the concert.August 30th 4:45-8:15 Onalaska Aquatics CenterThe entire water park will be reserved for Cashton families to enjoy free of charge from 5:30-7:30pm. The aquatics center includes an 8,500 square foot zero depth pool, six lap lanes, two 250 foot runout slides, one drop slide, sand play area, kiddie play area, and concession stand. Families are encouraged to pack a picnic or bring money for the concession stand. The bus will leave from Cashton Park at 4:45pm and return about 8:15pm. Space is limited!!!.REGISTRATION IS FREE!!! Simply call or email me and let me know how many members of your family will be attending each event so that buses can be scheduled.

Outdoor Wilderness Come join the fun and opportunity to explore and learn more about the popular outdoor adventures that help us keep in touch with nature. Activities throughout the week will include challenging hikes, biking on the Sparta/Elroy trail, fishing at Goose Island, and exploring the educational woodland area of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. Track and Field Students will learn all skills of all components of track and field during this two week session. Events will include shot put, long jump, high jump, sprints, hurdles and distances for 5th and 6th graders. Softball toss, standing broad jump, high jump, sprints, hurdle jump and distances will be the events for 3rd and 4th graders. All students will be given instruction in all these areas, days to practice each event. The last day of the session will include a track meet for all participants. Etc.

FITNESS & WEIGHT TRAINING Learn the basics of lifting weights and methods of increasing cardio vascular fitness. Students will learn proper weight lifting techniques, follow workout schedules, utilize technology to assess progress, and develop life-long habits that include cardiovascular exercise and weight training.

TennisDuring the two week session, students will learn fundamentals of tennis, including forehand, backhand, serving, and volleying. They will also learn rules of tennis. Each student will get an opportunity to play both singles and doubles, as well as officiate in a round robin tournament at the end of the session. 9-12 Personal Fitness (credit course)This class will include weight training programs as well as days of cardiovascular training, plyometrics, Tae Bo, and daily abdominal workouts. This is a great class for those who are physically healthy or those who hope to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
