ABOUT THE CENTER
Center for Reflective Parenting (CRP) is a 501c(3)
non-profit organization based in Southern California
that provides advanced training for mental health
clinicians and early childhood professionals, offers
direct services to parents and young children, and
conducts research in the field of parent-child
relationships.
CRP’s sweeping vision of a “reflective mind in the
life of every child” is being realized through our
strategic plan to partner with multiple new agencies
each year, scaling up our programs and expanding
our reach to at-risk communities—while continuing
to monitor and offer support services to all of our
partners and training sites.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

KEEPING YOUR CHILD’S MIND IN MIND
CRP Core Programs At-A-Glance:
The Reflective Parenting Program
and Mindful Parenting Groups
What is reflective thinking?
Reflective thinking is a natural human
ability to recognize that there is more
going on inside a person than what we see
by how he or she acts.
Reflective parents have the skills to create
stable family environments that nurture
their children’s psychological and social
growth and health.
How are CRP programs different from other
parenting programs?
CRP emphasizes enhancing parental
reflective capacity. Reflective parents are
better able to understand behavioral
triggers and to respond to situations with
creative and workable approaches. CRP
helps parents focus on how to be with their
children, not just on what to do.
