IRISH FESTIVAL NEWS THIS YEAR’S IRISH FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD

WORK LISTS Work lists are available in the back of the Churches this weekend. Please take one home and see where and what time you are scheduled to work. If you have been scheduled at a time or place that you cannot work, please call the Parish Office (553-2288) or Jim & Jane Conboy (934-2296) and let us know so workers can be adjusted.

FLIERS Fliers advertising the Irish Festival are available in the back of the Churches. Please distribute them to help with advertising.

DONATIONS FOR BASKET OF CHEER Monetary donations are still needed for the Basket of Cheer. With these donations a basket will be put together with many Irish libations and other Irish Items. Please put your donation in the collection basket in a marked envelope. So far donations total $ 240.00.

WINE The wine for the Irish Festival has been donated. Thank you to these generous parishioners.

BEER FOR IRISH FESTIVAL Thank you to everyone who donated or pledged to donate halves of beer. All of the halves have now been donated. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

FESTIVAL CHOIR PRACTICE Choir practice for the Irish Festival will be this Tuesday, August 28th, 6:30PM in St. Francis Church.

CHANCE BOOKS Chance Books can be returned through the mail or in the collection. If you haven’t made your returns by September 9th, please make your returns to the Chance Book table at the Festival.

PIES AND COOKIES Pie tins are now available in the back of our Churches. Each family is asked to donate (3) pies or (3) dozen cookies to the Irish Festival. Pies and cookies can be dropped off at St. Francis Hall on Friday evening between 6 & 7 PM; Saturday morning between 9 & 11AM or you can bring them to the Festival on Sunday.

CCD NEWS

FIRST DAY OF CLASSES: The first CCD class of the year will be held on Sunday, September 16th. CCD Classes meet at Neumann Hall, Choconut, at 9:10AM on Sunday mornings. STUDENT REGISTRATION FORMS: Student Registration forms are in the back of the Churches. Please take one per student. You can return them in the collection basket or return them to the student’s teacher on the first day of class. You may also return them to our CCD Coordinator, Susie Reichlen. Her phone number is (553-2618). If you have any questions about CCD Classes, please call Susie. CONFIRMATION CLASSES begin this Fall. Confirmation will be held in the fall of 2014. Students are required to have two full years of preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, so if your son or daughter wishes to receive Con-firmation in 2014 they should begin attending classes this September.

RCIA Classes will begin soon for anyone interested in participating in the RCIA Program. This is for anyone who would like to become a Catholic. If you are interested, please call the rectory (570-553-2288) or speak with Deacon Ken as soon as possible.
