Old Church Mementos
We will soon be having a silent auction for parishioners interested in Old Church Mementos. Please email Paul Scouten at the office with whatever items from the Old Church in which you may be interested. These items will then kept from demolition and saved for the silent auction. Please do not remove anything from the Old Church as these items should be saved for the Silent Auction so that all parishioners will have an fair chance to own these items. For those who are interested in a "block" (the large handmade bricks that make up the walls of the Old Church), email Paul Scouten at [email protected] and he will put your name on the list. These blocks are free of charge to parishioners.
CASA 'Charity should begin at home' is an old proverb, and for Catholics across our state, charity really begins at CASA. The Catholic Arkansas Sharing Appeal is our annual campaign to fund a multitude of projects around our diocese. You name it and it is probably supported by CASA: Catholic Schools, a charitable Medical Clinic, Youth Ministries, Seminarian Education, Disaster Relief, Adoption Services ... the list is almost endless. Our Goal this year is $10,720.50. Charity does begin at home, so please give generously and make a difference in our own back yard by becoming a CASA supporter.
RCIA classes will be canceled this Thursday April 20th but will resume Thursday April 27th.
Divine Mercy Holy Hour on April 23 at 2:30 PM. Join us in the Church for an hour of Prayer and Adoration in honor of Divine Mercy Sunday. As the Lord said to Sr. Faustina “He who knows how to forgive prepares for himself many graces from God. As often as I look upon the cross, so often will I forgive with all my heart.” (390, page 175).

Catechism Corner: Teachings from the Magisterium
"The Sunday Eucharist (Mass) is the foundation and confirmation of all Christian practice. For this reason the faithful are obliged to participate in the Eucharist on days of obligation, unless excused for a serious reason (for example, illness, the care of infants) or dispensed by their own pastor. Those who deliberately fail in this obligation commit a grave (mortal) sin." CCC 2181
Queen ConcordiaQueen ConcordiaQueen ConcordiaQueen Concordia
The 119th Tontitown Grape Festival is quickly approaching and we are in need of 3 young ladies to run for Queen Concordia. Aside from this being an opportunity to help your parish there is also scholarship money awarded. If you are interested or have any question please call Eric Pellin at 479-466-8223 or email at [email protected].
GRAPE FESTIVAL PARISH COOKBOOK We are preparing a parish cookbook, hopefully to be completed by the Grape Festival. It would be wonderful to have EVERY family represented in this book. Please submit recipes used by you, your parents or grandparents. Include your favorite foods that you grew up eating, along with recipes that you use today. Your name should be on the recipe or you might want to label it as: In memory of, a family member, or friend. The deadline for receiving recipes is April 30. You can drop the recipes in the collection basket, parish office or email to the following: [email protected] or [email protected]. If you have questions, please contact, Paula Zulpo, 236-7264. Thank you.
