Baptism is offered the second full weekend of every month at the North Campus (except June-July due to annual picnic baptism in June). Baptism class is required and offered at the start of every ser-vice on the third full weekend of the month. Meet in North Campus Room 133. Registration is not required, please attend the class of your choice.
Communion is served the first full weekend of every month.
Prayer Requests: Please let us know if you are going in the hos-pital, having a procedure done, or have any pastoral care needs. Please call the church office at 816.734.8100.

I’m new here, what is my next step? You are invited to attend Pastor Connect offered after every weekend service in North Cam-pus Room 133. One of our pastors will be on hand to visit with you and give you a Welcome Packet and a gift.
How do I become a member of Vineyard Church and learn what it is all about? You are invited to attend Vineyard 101 - Connecting with the Vineyard. Option 1: Saturday, October 20, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the East Auditorium, or Option 2: Two Thursdays, Oct. 18 & 25, 6:30-8:15 p.m. Register online at www.vineyardkcnorth.com.
How do I join a small group? Easy. Check out the Journey Guide located in the Information Center. Contact the leader of the group you want to join or e-mail [email protected]. There’s a group that’s just right for you!
How do I get prayer for something specific? A prayer team is available to pray for you after every Celebration Service in the front of the Auditorium. Prayer Request cards are available in the chair backs. Fill out the card and drop it in the offering. The pastoral staff and prayer team pray over these requests.
KOTV Kids On The Vine (3 months-grade 5) Children’s week-end Worship Celebrations–where we show kids the love of Jesus. Includes group worship with singing and age-appropriate teaching. Check in at the KOTV desk at both campuses.
AWANA (age 3-grade 5): Helping kids to know, love, and serve Jesus through Bible lessons and Scrip-ture memory, all while having fun! Meets Wednesdays, 6:30-8 p.m. throughout the school year. Contact Sabrina Rancudo at 816.686.8154 or [email protected].
Children's Ministry Volunteer Breakfast and Training: September 29, 9-11 a.m. in the East Auditorium. If you cur-rently serve in Children's Ministry or you would like to jump in, please plan to attend.

JR. HIGH STUDENTSH2O (grades 6-8) Jr. High students meet for worship and interactive teaching. Check the calen-dar inside for times at both campuses.
Connect Wednesday (grades 6-12) meets Wednesdays in North Campus Room 131, 6:30-8 p.m. Youth meet for worship and small groups through the school year. Students sign up for their small group choice at Connect Wednesday. This Fall our Discipleship and Small Group options are: • Case for Christ• Case for Faith• Family Matters (divorce through the eyes of a teen)
Back-2-School Bash & Muckfest (grades 6-12): Saturday, September 15 from 6-10 p.m. for youth and their friends. The entry fee is $10 per person. There will be games, prizes, a concert, special guests "Team Xtreme," and "The Food Fight" (please wear old clothes). Hearts & Hands is a common-interest group for anyone inter-ested in different types of handiwork; knitting, crocheting, tat-

Vineyard Joggers meet Saturdays in the church parking lot from 10:30-11:30 a.m. for jogging or walking on the outer church road. Routes of 2.5, 3, and 3.5 miles are mapped out for you. Contact Jason Key at 816.419.9196 or [email protected].
Vineyard Golfers meets Fridays 5-7 p.m. at Shoal Creek golf course. Men and women can

How We Love Seminar: Sept. 28-29 and Oct. 5-6, Fridays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in North Cam-pus Room 131. This is a 2-weekend video-driven seminar that helps you discover the root of your relationship problems. Our early life experiences, for better or worse, teach us how to love. Stumbling over the same irksome "dance steps" in their relation-ships, people usually have no clue there's another way—a better way. Food Pantry serves 1538 in-dividuals monthly! YOUR HELP COUNTS! We need:• Canned meat

Volunteers needed to help prepare weekend bulletins. Our bulletin preparation team needs volunteers Friday mornings for a couple of hours to place sermon notes and announcement in-serts inside bulletins. You will be serving for a month with oth-er team members approximately two times per year. Call Tina MacDowell at 816.256.0909.
Joy Ministry is looking for high school and adult volunteers to buddy one-on-one with special needs children at KOTV on Saturdays at 5 p.m. All you need is a will-ing heart and love for kids. Contact Beth Jones at 816.805.2178 or [email protected].
Food Pantry: Serve a couple of times monthly on Monday, Wednesday, or Sat-urday mornings from 9-11:30 a.m. to put food away and to assist families needing food. If interested contact Tempest Linn at [email protected].
Meals Ministry is looking for people who have a heart to help those who need meals because of an illness, surgery, or child birth. If you are willing to prepare and/or deliver a prepared meal, contact Cyndi Wolfe at 816.858.2233. Contact Cyndi if you are in need of assistance or know of someone in our church who is in need.

Americans are blessed to have the right to be involved in our system of government—but that right comes with a responsibility: participation.
For millions of people in other parts of the world, voting is just a dream. Still, many Americans with the right to vote are not acting on that right. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, as many as 29% of citizens were not registered to vote in 2008—that's 60 million people! More than one-third of eligible voting citizens did not vote in the last presidential election.
As Christ's representatives on earth, Christians have a mandate to be the "salt and light" in our culture (Mat-thew 5:13-16). Since this is a presidential election year, we have the opportunity to positively impact the direction of our country, the men and women who lead it, and the policies they enact.
