Liturgies this week

The Rosary The Rosary is prayed in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament Mass, Tuesday. – Saturday., before Mass.

Blessing of Married CouplesMay you both continue to grow in the truth that marriage is not merely living for each other but joining hands to serve God. May you have a great spiritual purpose in life. May you not expect perfection in each other. Perfection belongs only to God. May you minimize each other’s weaknesses and be swift to praise and magnify each other’s strengths. May you always see each other through love’s kind and patient eyes.

God bless your lives together. May you have enough tears to keep you tender, enough hurt to keep you human, enough failures to keep you tightly clutching God’s hand, and enough blessings to affirm that you are indeed God’s children.

May you never take each other for granted but always experience that breathless wonder that exclaims, “Out of all this world, you have chosen me”.May your life together be such that at the end of life you will be found still hand in hand, still thanking God for each other, still faithful servants of our Heavenly Father – until at last one shall lay the other into the arms of God. ~ Amen

The year 2017 marks the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. A 50th Anniversary Sub-Committee of the Parish Council has been formed, and members are busy planning an agenda of celebratory events. There will be a special

Thanksgiving Liturgy and several other events, such as a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France, a parish family barbecue, a special fundraising dinner and historical photo story boards.

In order to commemorate this important parish milestone, we invite all parishioners to participate in a new Parish Photo Directory. The Knights of Columbus have generously offered to organize this project under the leadership of Jack Breault. The Knights will begin taking booking for family and/or individual photographs on February 1. We would ask all of you to join in and make this Photo Directory a success.

Updates on the 50th anniversary celebrations will be provided in the bulletin and on our parish web page, as plans progress. Let us invoke the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes upon the golden anniversary of our parish celebrations.

Junior Liturgy The Junior Liturgy program will not be offered on March 13 and March 20 because it is the March Break. It will resume on Easter Sunday, March 27 at the 9:30 a.m. Mass

In Week 1 we meet Adonis Madjine from Haiti. A survivor of the 2010 earthquake, she is benefitting from a social enterprise project to raise chickens. “I have a husband and two children. Thanks to this job and the wages I receive, I can take care of my family, send my children to school and complete a few projects.”
