What talent! What talent! What talent! Congratulations to all of our Defence chil-

dren and friends who performed at BGT last week, you

were awesome! We all enjoyed a great day out at the

athletics carnival last week and good luck to those going

onto district this week..go..go..go. If your looking for a

warm place to go and hang out with friends while doing

some cool activities, why not come along to Defence

club, it is on every Thursday at lunchtime in the music

room. If your circumstances have changed due to be

postings, discharge etc or if you have any concerns or

challenges that I may be able to assist with, please let me

know. I am at the school every Wednesday and Thursday.

    Bungendore’s Youngest

    Performers

    Show OffT Their Talents!

The grand finals of Bungendore Public

School’s annual talent quest will fire up to-

morrow with a big range of acts to entertain

    the whole school and community.

Organisers say the 9th Bungendore’s Got Tal-

    ent, sponsored by Bungendore’s Chiroprac-

tic, has been a showcase of talent with over

60 acts ranging from singing, dancing and

    mime to instrumental performances on

    drums, ukulele and piano.

Three heats have been run in recent weeks,

attended by parents, staff and students, with

participants competing for trophies and gift

    vouchers.

Representing Stage 2 will be Olivia Johnston

with her mime act, Ruby Johnson singing

    and Francesca Roberts, also singing.

This year's Stage 3 finalists are Miles Bray on the

keyboard, Chloe Stevenson tap dancing and

Chloe Stevenson and Ella Hamson performing a

dancing and singing routine to A Million Dreams

Winners of the Early Stage 1/Stage 1 heats last

Friday were Kira Johnson, drumming, Amira Hol-

loway, with her Shakespearean skit and Quinn

    McCarthy, dancing/singing.

Master of ceremonies, Mr Kyle Brothers has had

a ready patter of jokes and proven adept at

getting the audience up and moving between

    acts.

BGT 9’s main organiser, Mrs Sam Bowering, said

the show wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it

has without the Year 6 stage handlers who

have been assisting with curtains, music and

helping performers on and off the stage.

“They have been absolutely wonderful and we

have really appreciated their efforts and help,”

    Mrs Bowering said.

The grand finals will take place tomorrow, the

last day of term, with doors opening at

    12:10pm.
