ABit about Tomlinsons Farm ShopOur speciality is producing traditional dry plucked poultry, which began in 1943 when Garthsmother first began producing turkeys from Shenton Station where her uncle was station master, thenmoving here in the early 1950’s.We opened our farm shop in 2005 and we produce free range chickens all year round which we sellat farmers markets, in our shop and to other farm shops and pubs (the George & Dragon and theWhite Swan both use our chicken – the White Swan also use our home made sausages).Christmas is a really important time for us as we produce bronze turkeys, geese, ducks and cockerelsas well as all the other meats which are sold through the shop, pork, beef etc. We take very seri-ously our responsibility to our customers to ensure they receive the very best every time. We haveturkey customers who have been coming for over 50 years!Our aim has been to become a one stop shop for Christmas, supplying not only the main meat centrepiece but also all the trimmings, from sausagemeat and gammons to Christmas cakes and puddingsand even the tree!We strive to stick to what we consider to be a true farm shop, producing as much of our stock aspossible ourselves and then sourcing from small local companies, helping to promote the localeconomy – for example Lovely Cakes a lady in Stoke Golding making Christmas cakes and pud-dings and Connors bakery in Hinckley, a real family business.We are currently applying for planning permission to open a tea room and are doing hog roasts forweddings etc. So come down and see what we do, you will be very welcome.Jo & Garth
