The message to the students:

It is important that you think things through carefully – don’t rush

Some of you will have clear ideas about what you want to do

Some of you will be less clear – that’s fine

Get as much information as you can

Talk to as many people as you can

The message to the parents:

Discuss with the students why they are opting for a particular subject

Ultimately, it is the student’s choice and they have to make the decisions and stick with them

Changes for the 2015 cohort

All exams will be at the end of the course

Specific marks will be awarded for spelling, punctuation and grammar in most subjects

All qualifications will be equivalent to each other

2015 – Maths and English– All other subjects remain A*-G

2017 results – mixture of grades and scores

Final choice forms issued 9th March
