We are excited and pleased to invite you to our Jobs for Delaware Graduates C.O.R.E. Breakfast!

The event will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Hotel du Pont from 8:00am –10:00am.

C.O.R.E. (Creating Opportunities through Real Experiences), was launched in 2018 as a platform to

advance our 12th grade curriculum. The program includes a combination of in-class projects and off-site

employment training through job shadowing, internships, and/or co-ops. With the help of our

partners the C.O.R.E. model:

Helps students to gain industry knowledge and applications in the field;

Strengthen their ability to compete for jobs, college, and scholarships on a higher level; and ultimately,

Connect the dots between school and work in ways that keep them motivated to graduate with the skills

they need for the future.

To date, our high school seniors have completed over 7,000 hours of field-based training and skill

development; more than 60 students have been exposed to careers in a number of industries; and over

$60,000 has been invested directly into the lives of Delaware’s youth and our local economy. We hope you

will join us as we celebrate and strengthen our program and the opportunities we provide.

Jobs for Delaware Graduates (JDG), is a school-to-work transitional

program, designed to address Delaware's unemployment and dropout

rates. Our in-school program implements a comprehensive curriculum

based on 80 employability areas including: career exploration,

entrepreneurship, soft skills, critical thinking and financial planning.

Students who participate in JDG gain first-hand exposure to emerging

career fields and engage in leadership, community service, and personal

enrichment activities. In our 41-year history, JDG has served more than

75,000 students. Each year, we continue to strengthen our mission and

the opportunities we provide - your support will make a huge impact!
