When Where How

• Sunday 6th April• Meet 10 am • Heathcote Station

– takes 40 min from central– but check city rail web page for trackwork– 8.44 am from Central gets to Heathcote at 9.38 am

Past McDonalds

Park at Heathcote station

Coming from the North down the Highway

Coming from North West along Heathcote Rd

If coming by car, it’s best to turn off the highway at McDonalds and go along Wilson Parade so that you can park in the EASTERN car park.

What to Wear

• Appropriate walking shoes– It’s good track, don’t need

boots, trainers fine

• Your swimmers!!! – Essential if weather even half

good.

• Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat

Beyonce would not be suitably dressed

What to Bring

• Your lunch– Possibly sandwiches, etc BUT….– If no-one else is around we can make a fireplace at

the lake…

• Water (about 2 litres)• Something for us to share

– eg, emergency chocolate • Camera!• Bird-watching books, wildflower and geological

guides are optional

Our Route!

Pool is at the ‘g’ of Kangaroo. We walk out down Karloo Spur and return along the creek and then up Karloo track
