Analytics SIG Business Newsletter New version of SAP BI Mobi for iPad and iPhone One of the drawbacks of SAP Mobile was its inability to render dashboards on a mobile device, so you can imagine that this has been a much anticipated and long awaited release as described by Louis de Gouveia in his blog post “Mobile BI 4.4.12 with Dashboards Support is NOW OUT”. Some of the features of the app are that it allows one to extend the existing Crystal Reports, Web Intelli- gence Reports, Dashboards& and Design Studio Dashboards to iPad and iPhone. The app allows you to also connect to data via SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand. This release offers support for hyperlink objects and additional geo enhancements. AllAccess presents 3 New Kids on the SAP BI Block In our mailer last month, we spoke about an “AllAccess” Webinar hosted by Mico Yuk & Ryan Goodman which took place on the 14th of December. If you missed it, you can view the recording from here. There were major announcements and clarification made by SAP Product Managers. There was no sales talk…just facts an hour of Q&A! Some highlights are mentioned in the blog post written by Zimkhita Buwa, i.e. SAPVISI not replacing Explorer and there is a free trial version available for download. www.sap.com/tryvisualintelligence; BI and Predictive Analytics are viewed as separate worlds…SAP envisions combining them; SAP Design Studio is positioned as being the replacement of the Web Application Designer (WAD). Ian Mayor explicitly stated “ IF you’re on BW/HANA…go to Design Studio. If you’re using multiple sources Dashboards. SAP plans to provide an integrated family of business applications that captures and analyzes transactional data in real time on a single in-memory platform (making the Analytic and Transactional Processing line extremely blurry). A broad variety of business scenarios are available, i.e. financial close, material resource planning (MRP), etc. Read the official press release or watch the recording of the announcement. New version of SAP BI Mobi for iPad and iPhone One of the drawbacks of SAP Mobile was its inability to render dashboards on a

mobile device, so you can imagine that this has been a much anticipated and
