The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce was established in 1983, as a broad-basedorganization that strives to improve the commercial climate of the City, to promote planned economic and community development, and to make the greater Bowie com-munity a better place to live and work.

The foundation of the Chamber is its growing and diverse membership, which ac-complishes the aims of the organization by volunteer service on its board and standing committees. The Chamber is made up of members with common interests and con-cerns related to the business environment in the greater Bowie area. Together we are the only professional trade organization in the greater Bowie area, and our mission is to protect, enhance and promote local business by providing a voice for businesses at local, county and state levels. We are the organization of choice for business advocacy in the greater Bowie area.

Hello Friends!

As you know, there is no better place to live and work than in the city of Bowie, and I am honored to serve as the president of the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce for 2015-16. Our Chamber was founded in 1983 and has a long, illustrious history in the community. We look forward to another year of serving the local business community and our neighbors. I am excited to work with our new members, who I know will keep moving our organization positively in the future for many, many years to come.

I also want to stress the importance of attending our events, which provide great opportunities to network and partner up with fellow Chamber businesses to help the community grow and thrive. Please get involved. We are all in this together!

The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce is the voice of the business community in this area, and has hundreds of members, all advocating on behalf of local business interests by staying connected with each other and our federal, state, county and local elected officials through many networking events and business forums. Welcome to the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce! It is a pleasure to provide you with your annual Business and Community Guide. This directory is a valuable tool for businesses in the community, as well as residents and visitors. We hope it is a useful source of information for you, and a handy guide for locating various businesses and services in our area. Each business listed in this guide is a member of the GBCC. Not a member? Fill out the application found at the back of this directory. It’s that easy, and we’d love to have you on board! Any suggestions for improvements to this directory are also welcome.

The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce is the organization of choice for business advocacy in the greater Bowie area. We accomplish this by:

• developing a legislative forum that benefits area businesses;• supporting educational programs such as Youth Leadership Bowie and the

Women in Business scholarship program;• creating marketing and networking opportunities for our members including

the ever-popular Bowiefest Home & Health Expo and various after hours business mixers, breakfast and luncheon events;

• providing a myriad of opportunities for our members to be involved in making a difference by serving on various committees or volunteering throughout the year.

The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce holds a number of events throughout the year to meet the needs of its members.
