OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-Time Sales Associate, you will have the opportunity to balance formal training with real-world

Operations Manager (OM)
General management of all aspects of a Target Store’s business – business analysis, process & operations,
logistics and HR/staffing and development
Inbound
o The Inbound Department unloads merchandise from trailers. There are three main ways that
receipts are processed:
o Receiving – unloads the merchandise from inbound trailers and checks for inventory accuracy
and damages
o Product Prep – prepares individual items for delivery to guests
o Stock Reserve – puts away merchandise for storage and pulls merchandise to fulfill guest orders.
Warehousing
o The Warehousing team is responsible for moving product throughout the distribution center.
This area is divided into two main functions:
o Stock Select – picks individual items to fulfill guest orders
o Inventory – ensures inventory accuracy throughout the building, including new product
receipts, merchandise transfers, liquidations, and product removal.
Outbound
o Outbound is the final stage of our warehouse and is divided into three areas:
o Packing – packs orders and gift wraps items for shipment to guests
o Shipping – loads orders onto trucks for delivery to guests
o Ship Alone – processes larger items that cannot be sent through our material handling system or
that do not require special packing
