4.0 CHEMSOLV FMP - FUEL MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

Over the last number of years we have seen a sudden, dramatic and worldwide increase in Filter Blocking Tendencies-FBT. What has changed? Crude oil supply and environmental concerns have resulted in important changes in fuel production, such as cracking, blending.Fuel shelf life and filter clogging tendencies depend on a series of factors such as; transpor-tation and storage, natural oxidation and breakdown, the source of the crude oil, use of production additives and refinery processes.

Major Problems Associated with Diesel StorageSeveral problems are associated with diesel fuel storage, these include but not limited to the following;

I. Water: The entire storage system is potentially impacted by water and its possible consequences, not just the storage tank. Water can enter a storage system via damaged fill boxes or fill cap gaskets, loose fittings or plugs, poor practices relating to spill buckets, rainwater accumulated within tank sumps and which enter via any tank orifices that are not water/vapor tight, and condensation caused by fuel temperature swings or air entering via vents.

II. Suspended Particulate Matter: Large amount of sediments and gum (sludge) this blocks the fuel filters and leading to fuel starvation and the engine stopping. This indicates that not enough mass of fuel is going into the combustion chamber to provide enough charge to generate the required energy. Dirt, rust or oxidized fuel may form a fine suspen-sion of brown or red particles, causing a greasy black deposit on the fuel filter.

III. Microbial Contamination: Microbial contamination is a symptom of poor water draining. It is normally associated with long standing free water, hazy fuel, suspended water and dirt. Microbes are detected as a black/brown chocolate mousse blocking filters. Degra-dation of diesel fuel can begin during interim storage at the refinery.

Solving the Problem…4.1 Automated Diesel Fuel Filtration SystemThe use of our automated diesel fuel filtration system removes water and sediment eliminates microbial contamination and stabilizes your diesel fuel, providing;

• Optimal Diesel Fuel Quality at All Times• Safe & Reliable Emergency Power for Mission Critical Equipment• Peak Engine Performance and Uptime for Emergency Power Systems

4.2 Tank CleaningTank Cleaning Programs is very essential in the storage of Gasoil. Build-up of sludge and water at bottom of storage tank due micro-bial activities go a long way to affect the quality of the fuel. Chem-Solv Engineering Limited has a Tank Cleaning department which has well trained Technicians/Field Operators. They are expects in the Tank Cleaning/Industrial Cleaning Services.There are two ways of executing a tank cleaning job 1. Man-entre: procedure below 2. Mobile tank cleaning Device, procedure below

Our Mobile Tank Cleaning systems excel in combining High Capacity Filtration, Fuel Conditioning and Water Separation with Compact Design and Low Operat-ing Cost. Due to our commitment to the Environment, all our products are environmentally friendly

4.3 Automated Fuel Polishing SystemsThe Smart FPS Series is fully automated, programmable fuel optimization systems for on-board tank cleaning, fuel polishing & transfer. Automated Fuel Polishing Series of systems are equipped with remote ready, programmable SMART Filtration Controllers to seamlessly integrate with building management systems or in marine applications with vessel monitoring systems.

4.4 Biocide application and Fuel Test Kits(Dipslide and Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste) ChemSolv Engineering Limited also supplies and applies Diesel Biocide for treating Fuel Microbial Contamination. Our team of highly trained professionals and technicians supply

and apply test kits and biocides to detect and treat microbial contamination in fuel storage tanks respectively.

Our chemical technicians… 1. Collect sample of diesel. 2. Test sample for microbial contamination with dipslide. 3. Test sample for presence of water

with kolor kut water finding paste. 4. Interpret results to clients. 5. Apply the required biocide. 6. Monitor performance of biocide and report to client.

Major Problems Associated with Diesel StorageSeveral problems are associated with diesel fuel storage, these include but not limited to the following;

Solving the Problem…4.1 Automated Diesel Fuel Filtration SystemThe use of our automated diesel fuel filtration system removes water and sediment eliminates microbial contamination and stabilizes your diesel fuel, providing;

Major Problems Associated with Diesel StorageSeveral problems are associated with diesel fuel storage, these include but not limited to the following;

Solving the Problem…4.1 Automated Diesel Fuel Filtration SystemThe use of our automated diesel fuel filtration system removes water and sediment eliminates microbial contamination and stabilizes your diesel fuel, providing;

Major Problems Associated with Diesel StorageSeveral problems are associated with diesel fuel storage, these include but not limited to the following;

Major Problems Associated with Diesel StorageSeveral problems are associated with diesel fuel storage, these include but not limited to the following;

Solving the Problem…4.1 Automated Diesel Fuel Filtration SystemThe use of our automated diesel fuel filtration system removes water and sediment eliminates microbial contamination and stabilizes your diesel fuel, providing;
