The Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors produced a series of guidelines in July 2013 which aim to
build upon the effectiveness of internal audit within financial services companies. These principles have been endorsed by
the UK regulators, the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential
Regulatory Authority.
