O.S. GT15HZ Petrol Engine (.90 Class/700 Size)

The O.S. GT15HZ 2-Stroke petrol helicopter engine is also the first petrol engine designed especially for 90 class engine/ 700 size helicopters. With an approximate runtime ratio of 1 minute per 10cc of petrol, it offers astoundingly long flight times and low cost alternative to glow fuel. Petrol engines generate a larger amount of heat. To prevent overheating, a large deep-finned head is employed which ensures a steady power supply by cooling entire engine efficiently.

The Ignition unit has been designed with ignition timing specifically for helicopter engines and features a straight plug cap for easier installation in the limited space. Suitable for use with a 4.8-7.5V battery. O.S. test data shows with a 300cc fuel tank you can achieve an approximately 25 minute long flight!

Black Horse Westland Wyvern 20cc ARTFThe Westland Wyvern was a British single-seat carrier-based multi-role strike aircraft built by Westland Aircraft that served in the 1950s, seeing active service in the 1956 Suez Crisis. Black Horse have managed to capture the striking shape of this unusual fighter and produced a practical 20cc sized ARTF model. Perfect for 20~22cc petrol engines, the Wyvern is supplied complete with mechanical retracts (two retract servos are required for operation) and scale appearance oleos. The large cowl makes engine installation painless and it is possible to hide almost all of the engine and muffler, leading to a very scale nose. Supplied factory assembled and covered in printed film- ready for final assembly.

The Black Horse Sea Fury is a faithful replica of this classic fighter and very little has been compromised from scale to ensure that the classic lines of the original are not lost. The complex curves have been replicated using Black Horse’s clever balsa shaping techniques before covering in pre-printed film. As with the Wyvern below, the Sea Fury is supplied with mechanical retracts (requiring two retract servos) and oleo legs. Designed for 20~22cc petrol engines.

Black Horse have done exactly the same and targeted the Bo-209 Monsun at pilots of average skill that want a scale model with forgiving flight characteristics without compromise to its good looks. If you thought ARTF gliders were getting bigger, this is one to re-define that perception, all 6 metres (19.67ft) of it! Modelled on the Mk2 and based on probably the most iconic glider ever, the original Grunau Baby was conceived in Germany in the 1930s to provide pilot training to youngsters that would later provide the backbone of Luftwaffe in WWII. Just like the original, the Black Horse Grunau Baby is a masterpiece of design made completely of balsa and plywood with metal parts added for strength and ease of disassembly. For ease of transport, the wing breaks down into four parts and the tail surfaces are removable too. Unlike the original, all the wooden parts are CNC designed and then laser cut. Assembly is by skilled workers using special jigs to assure everything is aligned. Covering is ultra-durable Oratex in a beautiful ‘period’ red and cream colour scheme based on images that survive from the time and a surviving aircraft in a museum. Launching can be by aerotow (this is the recommended method) or winch. A tow release mechanism is provided in the scale position.
