TRANSACTIONS OF EUR 1 BN REGISTERED IN THE FIRST FOUR MONTHS AT THE

BUCHAREST STOCK EXCHANGE, INCREASING BY 36%

• Transactions with all types of financial instruments traded on BVB reached EUR 996 mn during the first four months of 2018

• The average daily trading value increased by 32% during the first four months of 2018 compared with the same period of the previous year, exceeding EUR 11 mn

• The BET index reached in April a benchmark of 9,000 points, the highest level for the last 10 years

Investors from the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) traded almost EUR 1 bn in the first four months, an increase by 36% compared with the same period of last year, using various types of financial instruments (shares, bonds, fund, structured products, etc.). The stock segment was the most popular among investors, who traded shares worth EUR 943 mn.

April 2018 brought a 73% increase m-o-m in the total trading value, amounting to EUR 195 mn.

The increase in investment activity was reflected by 32% increase in the average daily trading value, which exceeded the level of EUR 11 mn.

The average daily trading value increased by 78% in April 2018 compared with the same month of the last year and was close to EUR 10 mn.

The main stock market index, BET, which includes the 13 most traded companies excluding SIFs, recorded two consecutive sessions in April where reached 9,000 points. The first time when BET index closed a trading session above this level was on June 15th, 2007, while the maximum was recorded on July 24th, 2007, when the main market index in Bucharest reached the level of 10,813 points.

The BET index closed April at 8,713 points, which corresponds to an advance of 12.3% for the first four months, the highest rate of growth among the main indexes in the European Union stocks exchange.

The stock market capitalization of Romanian companies exceeded EUR 21.5 bn at the end of April 2018, while the capitalization of all listed companies on the Main Market of BVB exceeded EUR 39 bn.

The 15 finalist companies were announced during an award gala on April 25th, where there were more than 150 entrepreneurs and executives of the companies in the Made in Romania community, together with the members of the Nomination Committee, the members of the Jury and other supporters of the project. Already at its second edition, Made in Romania is a unique project that aims to identify and promote the Romanian entrepreneurship. During 2018, the partners that will be supporting the project are Banca Transilvania Group, Horváth & Partners Management Consultants, Mazars, NNDKP, Tradeville and Catalyst Romania.

1. Financial instruments already issued – this category includes all the statistical data related to the existing

financial instruments, regardless of the type of the operations carried out. The total values traded as well as the average daily value for this category are based on:

trading operations performed on regular, deal;

offers and operations performed with the existing financial instruments such as: buy offer, takeover offer, secondary offer for selling the existing financial instruments, other methods of selling the existing financial instruments, offers without prospectus or with simplified prospectus for currently issued financial instruments.

2. New issues and further issues – this category contains the statistical data related to the issuance of new

instruments based on the primary / initial offers as well as data regarding the increase of the capital for already listed companies, based on further issues. This category is related to the capital raised by the issuers.

3. The total value traded is single counted.

4. The total value traded expressed in EUR is calculated considering the daily EUR value, based on the currency rate available for each trading session.

5. Equities includes shares and rights.

6. Bonds includes all types of bonds available for trading at BVB (municipal, corporate, government securities).
